Use these steps to support uninstall and clear cache for apps on the Google Pixel 4 XL.

Clear app cache and data

Clearing cache or data from an app can fix some software problems. If you clear data, any data stored in that app is lost, such as settings, login information, and saved games. If you don't want to clear the data, try just clearing cache first. If you still experience problems, then clear data too.

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up to view your apps.
  2. Tap Settings > Apps & notifications > See all XX apps.
  3. Tap on an app, then tap Storage.
  4. Choose to Clear storage or Clear cache.

Update apps

  1. Open the Play Store app.
  2. Tap Menu > My apps & games > Update all.

Clear recent apps

  1. From the home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen half way and release. A list of recent apps displays.
  2. To close an app, swipe up on it.
  3. To close all recent apps, swipe all the way right and tap Clear all.

Uninstall app

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up to view your apps.
  2. Tap Settings > Apps & notifications > See all XX apps.
  3. Tap on an app, then tap Uninstall > OK.
