I rarely take the time to write reviews, but exceptional customer service deserves recognition! I want to personally acknowledge Daniela O., Senior Mobile Expert, and Josh Wood, Experience Associate Manager, at T-Mobile Store #8978 in Waukegan.
I recently upgraded my family’s phones to the new iPhone 18. The specific color and model I wanted were unavailable at several nearby stores, so I considered visiting this location, even though it isn’t my neighborhood T-Mobile.
Unfortunately, my initial phone experience with a manager named Shiara was disappointing. When I asked whether the phone was in stock, she told me I would have to visit the store and potentially wait two hours just to find out. I explained how inconvenient that would be, but she was unwilling to confirm availability. Thankfully, when I called again the next day, another employee checked and immediately confirmed the phone was available. That simple courtesy made all the difference!
Despite my hesitation, I visited the store and had the absolute pleasure of meeting Daniela O.!
From the moment I walked in, Daniela was welcoming, kind, personable, and professional. She acknowledged me immediately, explained that she was finishing with another customer, and assured me she would help shortly. She kept her word!
Daniela assisted my family and me throughout our upgrades with incredible patience, efficiency, and product knowledge. She answered our questions, made wonderful conversation, and genuinely made us feel valued. What could have been a stressful purchase became an enjoyable experience.
Daniela didn’t just sell us phones. She delivered an exceptional customer experience!
I also want to recognize Josh Wood, who was equally outstanding. Immediately after purchasing my phone, I realized I wanted a model with more storage. Without hesitation or frustration, Josh stepped in, processed the refund, and helped me exchange it for the phone I actually wanted. No complications, no attitude, just genuine willingness to help!
Daniela and Josh completely changed my perception of this location. Their professionalism, kindness, and dedication to customer satisfaction are exactly what T-Mobile should strive for.
I especially hope corporate leadership recognizes Daniela’s potential. She possesses the qualities of an exceptional leader and deserves consideration for advancement.
Although my initial interaction with Shiara was discouraging, I refuse to let that overshadow the incredible service Daniela and Josh provided.
I walked in uncertain and left genuinely happy, excited about our new phones, and grateful for such a wonderful experience.
