How do I know how many minutes I have left?

Call #646# from your T-Mobile phone or 1-877-778-2106 from any touch-tone phone.

How do I know how much Web usage I have left?

Dial #WEB# (#932#) from your T-Mobile phone. Customers with non-unlimited Web features will see Web usage. Prepaid customers, even those with unlimited Web, will see data used.

How long are my T-Mobile prepaid minutes available?

With T-Mobile prepaid, you can choose from monthly or Pay As You Go plans. When you select a monthly plan, your plan features are available for 30 days.

For the Pay As You Go plan, access to prepaid service is available for 90 days from the date you applied a $10, $25, or $50 refill for non-Gold Rewards customers.

If you applied a $100 refill or have already reached Gold Rewards status, service is available for one year from the date you last applied a refill.

To help ensure that you never lose service unexpectedly, T-Mobile will send you a text message when you have less than 5 days of access remaining. That way, you'll have plenty of time to refill and carry forward any unused minutes. 

Can I switch from a prepaid plan to a postpaid monthly plan?

Yes. You must pass a credit history evaluation, select your new plan, and agree to the terms of your new plan. If you are interested in converting to a postpaid account, please call Customer Care for additional details. 

Can I transfer minutes from my T-Mobile Prepaid telephone number to another T-Mobile telephone number ?

Not at this time. You must determine ahead of time which telephone number you want the refill to be applied to. 

Can I roam internationally with a T-Mobile Prepaid plan?

Calls placed while roaming internationally, within other countries, will be charged a roaming rate + long distance charge. Please visit the Roam Worldwide section for information regarding current rates.  

What does the International Unlimited Talk and Text service include?

Service features include:
  • Unlimited calls to landlines in over 50 countries, including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Argentina. See full list of countries
  • Unlimited text messaging to over 200 countries

Plus, get discounted calling rates to landlines and cell phones in over 150 countries.

Can I still make international calls if my plan runs out of minutes?

Once your plan runs out of minutes you will not be able to make any calls, domestic or international. You will need to refill or renew your account to have full use of your service.

How can I get a refill when my service runs out?

It's easy to extend your prepaid service. To purchase a refill for yourself online,

log in to My T-Mobile to get started. To purchase a refill for another T-Mobile Prepaid customer, go to our Buy Minutes page to get started.

To buy a refill over the phone, dial *ADD from your T-Mobile Prepaid phone or 1-877-778-2106 from any phone.

Refills are available at over 90,000 locations nationwide, including T-Mobile retail stores, authorized dealers, and other retail locations including Circle K, Costco, Eckerd, Office Depot, 7-Eleven, Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and more.


Can I refill before my service runs out?

Yes. You can refill at any time.

 

If you are a Pay As You Go customer , add $100 in refills to become a Gold Rewards customer and get the most from your refills.

 

Pay As You Go customers who have reached Gold Rewards status get 15 percent more minutes with every refill and keep

access to service for a full year (does not apply to Sidekick ® ). 

Can I buy refills in any denomination?
Not at this time. You may only purchase refills in $10, $25, $50 or $100 denominations.

How soon will the refill be applied?

Whether you redeem a refill card or purchase a refill online or over the phone, the refill will be immediately applied when the transaction is complete.

How can I tell when the refill has been applied?

You will receive a refill confirmation in the form of a free text message shortly after the refill has been applied. 

Why do I have to provide a contact phone number?

We require that you provide a contact phone number in the event we need to reach you to complete your refill purchase.

Is there a limit to how much in refills I can apply?

Yes. You may not have more than $1,000 in activated refills at any given time.  

Can I buy multiple refills at one time?

Not online. However you may make multiple purchases, one right after another.

Can I redeem a refill card online?

Yes, you can redeem most refill cards online. Just log in to My T-Mobile, enter the PIN number on the back of your refill card or receipt, and click submit. You will see a confirmation page once the refill has been applied.

Where do I find my refill card number (PIN)?

The refill number will appear on the back of your refill card or as a PIN on the front of a receipt.

What if I'm having trouble submitting my PIN?

Some T-Mobile Prepaid refill cards cannot be redeemed on this Web site. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have trouble submitting your PIN, please call the toll-free telephone number found on your refill card or receipt and follow the automated prompts to complete your refill over the phone.

What types of refill cards does T-Mobile accept?

In addition to cards sold at T-Mobile stores, cards sold by select authorized dealers are also accepted.

If I buy a refill for someone else, when will they receive it and how will they be notified?

If you purchase a refill for another T-Mobile Prepaid customer, the refill will be immediately applied. The recipient will automatically receive a free text message from T-Mobile notifying him or her that a refill has been applied. Additionally, we give you the option to send a personalized e-mail message to the recipient so he or she knows that the refill came from you.

How long do Prepaid monthly rate plans last?

Prepaid monthly rate plans last for 30 calendar days. Your 30 days begin on the day you pay for the monthly rate plan

charge. 

How can I find out what my current monthly rate plan is, when it will renew, and how much it will cost?

The easiest way to find this information is to dial #BAL# (#225#) from your handset. This is a fantastic free service that gives you the most up to date information on your plan. You can also find this information the following ways:

• Go to My T-Mobile.
• Access t-zones®.
• Call 1-877-778-2106 from any touch tone phone.

How does my monthly rate plan renew?

Your monthly rate plan will automatically renew if you have redeemed sufficient refills at the end (midnight) of your thirtieth day of service. Also when your monthly rate plan renews, your applied refills are made available for 90 days.
If you have not redeemed sufficient refills to cover your monthly rate plan charge, the features included with your monthly rate plan will no longer be available. This will restrict you from using voice and text services. You can continue to use

your remaining refills for downloads. 

How long can I go without paying for my monthly rate plan charge and what happens if I never renew it?

You have 60 days to apply enough refills to renew your monthly rate plan. At the end of the sixtieth day, your monthly rate plan will automatically change to the Pay As You Go rate plan . This will allow you to use any remaining active refills on a per-minute basis.

Upon conversion to the Pay As You Go plan, your decrement rate will be 15¢ per minute . However, if you were on the Pay As You Go plan prior to being on a monthly rate plan and your decrement rate was less than 15¢ per minute, your decrement rate upon automatic conversion back to Pay As You Go will default to that lower rate .

What rate plan change options do I have?

Rate plan changes FROM a Prepaid non-monthly rate plan TO a Prepaid monthly rate plan are always effective immediately.
Rate plan changes FROM a Prepaid monthly rate plan TO a Prepaid non-monthly rate plan (Pay As You Go, Pay By The Day, or Sidekick® Pay By The Day) or TO another Prepaid monthly rate plan will be future dated to begin at the end of your current monthly rate plan period. If you choose to change immediately, you will lose any remaining services and features that you have already paid for and that are part of your current Prepaid monthly rate plan . When scheduling a future dated rate plan change, you may cancel the future dated request up to the date the change becomes effective. 

What happens if I have not redeemed sufficient refills when my monthly rate plan is scheduled to renew?

You will receive a free text notification from T-Mobile advising you that your monthly rate plan has not been renewed. You have 60 days to redeem sufficient refills to renew your monthly rate plan.
As soon as you redeem sufficient refills :
• Your monthly rate plan will automatically renew.
• Your account balance expiration date will be extended out to 90 days if it is less than 90 days away.

What is included with Unlimited Text?

Unlimited Text includes regular text messages, picture, video, and instant messages in the United States. Unlimited Text does not include international text usage.

What is included with Unlimited Talk and Text?

Unlimited Talk and Text includes unlimited nationwide calling and text for 30 days for a great monthly price. Unlimited text includes text, picture, and video messaging. Plus, unlimited data, with the choice of two unlimited data options.

Will I be reminded when my monthly rate plan will renew?

Yes! You will receive free text notifications from T-Mobile in the following scenarios:
• Three days before your monthly rate plan is scheduled to renew.
• One day before your monthly rate plan is scheduled to renew.
• The day your monthly rate plan renews, which provides you the date it was renewed and the date it is effective through.
• In case of insufficient funds, reminding you to apply a refill so that your monthly rate plan can be renewed.
• When a future dated rate plan change has successfully changed and you are on the new plan.
• When your monthly rate plan is automatically changed to Pay As You Go due to being insufficient to renew for more than 60 days.

Can I set up automatic refills with a credit/debit card or an electronic check so that I can verify that I have funds available every month when my monthly rate plan renews?

What is Text-To-Refill?

The T-Mobile Text-To-Refill service is a free SMS based service that allows a T-Mobile Prepaid or FlexPay subscriber to

purchase a refill simply by sending an SMS message. To be eligible, simply purchase a refill once with a credit card or debit card. You can do this by going to www.t-mobile.com or calling *233 (*ADD) from your mobile phone. It’s easy... and it’s free. 

Using Text-To-Refill:

One-time setup: Purchase a refill once using a credit card or debit card by going to www.t-mobile.com or calling *233 (*ADD) from your mobile phone. You are now eligible to use Text-To-Refill.

When you want to refill, follow these simple steps:


  1. Create a new text message (SMS).

    In the message body enter the dollar amount (must be $10, $25, $50, or $100), a space, and the last 4 digits of your credit card / debit card from the one-time setup. For example, to refill for $25 with your credit card ending in 6789, simply send the following text: 25 6789

  2. Send your message to 7777

  3. That’s it. You’ll receive a confirmation text message immediately saying that your refill has been activated.


Who can use the Text-To-Refill service?

Any T-Mobile Prepaid or FlexPay subscribers who have purchased a refill with a credit card or debit card may use the Text-To-Refill service. If you have not yet refilled with a credit card or debit card, simply go to www.t-mobile.com or call *233 (*ADD) from your mobile phone. 

Do I have to pay for using the Text-To-Refill service?

No. The Text-To-Refill SMS service is free to use and any SMS messages sent or received are free of charge and do not count towards your SMS message usage.

How quickly is my Text-To-Refill refill applied?

All Text-To-Refill transactions are processed in real-time, so your refill is available immediately upon successful completion.

Can I use Text-To-Refill to purchase a refill for another phone?

The Text-To-Refill service allows you to purchase a refill only for the phone that the SMS request is sent from. To

purchase a refill for another phone, simply go to www.t-mobile.com or call *233 (*ADD) from your mobile phone.
