Only the Primary Account Holder and those with Full Access to the account can add lines, and the account must be current. T-Mobile for Business customers can contact Business Customer Service and Prepaid customers can use the Activate or change T-Mobile Prepaid service page.
On this page:
Add a line with device purchase
- Log-in T-Mobile.com or the T-Life app.
- In T-Life, select Shop > Add a line.
- On T-Mobile.com select Add a person or device to my account in the “I want to…" section.
- Select your device.
- Select your color, memory variant, and pricing option, and select Add to a new line.
- Make or review plan selections and select Add a new line.
- Select Yes, I want to trade in a device if you would like to trade in a device. Otherwise, select No thanks, skip trade-in.
- Enter the trade-in device information, to find it dial *#06# to get your phone's IMEI, or find it in your device's settings, then select Continue.
- Provide information on the condition of your trade-in, then select Continue.
- Select Trade in this phone.
- Select Continue or select No, I’ll take my chances to opt out of insurance.
- Confirm your order details and pricing, then select Continue to shipping.
- Select your shipping method and review the address section. Edit the address if necessary, then select Continue to payment.
- Enter your payment details and check the Customer Agreement box to confirm consent of the T-Mobile Terms and Conditions, then select Accept & Continue.
- Sign your EIP Equipment Installment Plan agreement if you are financing your device with T-Mobile.
- Select Submit order.
Add a line and bring your own device eSIM T-Life
- Log in to the T-Life app.
- Select Shop > scroll down and select Add a line to your account in T-Life.
- Choose Phones, Tablets, Smartwatch, Sync Up hotspots & more or Home Internet for your new line.
- Depending on the type of device you want to purchase and activate a new line for:
Choose 'Bring your phone' - Enter the device IMEI to check compatibility.
- Select Keep your number or get new number and Continue.
- Review your current rate plan pricing and select Checkout.
- Enter Primary place of use address. Only toggle the E911 button if the phone will be used at the entered address.
- Select Add payment method and choose one of the following:
- Apple Pay
- Credit or debit card
- Apple Pay
- Enter your payment details select Continue.
- Review your current rate plan pricing and select Add to Cart.
- Review your cart and select Checkout.
- Enter the address where the line will be used and Select Confirm Address.
- Select the Customer Agreement checkbox to confirm consent of the T-Mobile Terms and Conditions.
- Select Order now.
- Follow the activation steps in the Order confirmation screen to activate your eSIM.
Add a line and bring your own device pSIM T-Life
- Log in to the T-Life app.
- Select Shop > scroll down and select Add a person or device to my account.
- Choose Phones, Tablets, Smartwatch, Sync Up hotspots & more or Home Internet for your new line.
- Depending on the type of device you want to purchase and activate a new line for:
Choose 'Bring your own device' - Enter the device IMEI to check compatibility.
- Select Continue when you see “Your device needs a physical sim card” to use a SIM card. Select "Try another device" if you would like to activate a different device.
- Select Ship to me or Pick up in Store.
- Review your current rate plan pricing and select Add to Cart.
- Review your cart and select Checkout.
- Enter the address where the line will be used and Select Confirm Address
- Select Add payment method and choose one of the following:
- Apple Pay
- Credit or debit card
- Apple Pay
- Enter your payment details select Continue.
- Select the Customer Agreement checkbox to confirm consent of the T-Mobile Terms and Conditions.
- Select Order now.
