Setting up the Watch & App

 
Download the TIMEX FamilyConnect App
 
  1. Search for TIMEX FamilyConnect in the Apple App Store or Google Play store.
  2. Be sure your smartphone is up-to-date with the latest operating system and meets the minimum technical requirements.
 
Set up your watch
 
  1. Press and hold the Power button on the side of the watch. The T-Mobile SIM comes in the watch
  2. Press the power button and follow the remaining steps on the screen.
  3. Choose your language.
  4. The watch will ask you to contact T-Mobile Care to activate.
 
Sign in or create an account in the TIMEX FamilyConnect App
 
  1. Select the app on your device.
  2. If you already have an account, choose SIGN IN
  3. If you don't have an account, choose CREATE ACCOUNT.
  4. Set up your account information, including your password.
  5. Add your phone number.
  6. Add a profile picture.
  7. Select NEXT.
  8. You will receive a confirmation email. Follow the instructions to verify your email address.
  9.  After you Confirm Email & Grant consent on the email you received, you'll be taken back to the TIMEX app.
  10. Read the Privacy Policy and select Accept.
  11. Choose ADD WATCH.
 
Add an account for yourself (with emergency contacts)
 
  1. Register to the app as a new user. Select ADD WATCH. 
  2. Select Senior watch to continue, then select NEXT.
  3. If you're setting up a watch for yourself, select FOR ME.
  4. You may add emergency contacts. Select the blue plus icon to add.
  5. Enter a new emergency contact or choose one from Your Contacts.
  6. Once you've entered your emergency contact information select SAVE. 
  7. The app will ask for any missing information. Choose Add Now or Add Later.
  8. Once an emergency contact has been added, select CONTINUE to complete this step.
 
Add an account for a loved one
 
  1. Register to the app as a new user. Select ADD WATCH. 
  2. Select Senior watch to continue, then select NEXT.
  3. If you're setting up a watch for a family member, select FOR FAMILY MEMBER.
  4. You'll be automatically added as the main emergency contact. Select the blue plus icon to add a new or additional emergency contact.

 

Using the TIMEX FamilyConnect Watch App

 
Initial Setup (HeartFIT profile)
 
  1. You'll be prompted to set up a HeartFIT profile once the watch is paired during the onboarding process. Select CONTINUE. 
  2. You'll be prompted to enter your user information such as height and weight. You can also add a profile picture. Select NEXT to continue.
  3. You'll select your activity goals, or enter them manually. Select NEXT to continue.
  4. You'll be asked a series of questions for PAI before setup is completed. Once you've completed, select OK to save your HeartFIT profile. 
 
PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence)
 

PAI is a science-backed health score that measures the impact of your physical activity on your heart and guides you to a longer, healthier life.  

 
Add an Approved Contact
 
  1. In the app, select the MENU icon in the upper-left corner. Select All Contacts. 
  2. Once in Contacts, select the blue plus button to add an additional contact.
  3. You may add new contact as Contact or Guardian, then name, phone number, and email before you APPLY TO a designated watch.
  4. Once the new contact is added, you may send an SMS message notification to a new contact. 
 
Add a New Preset Message
 
  1. From the main app screen, select the desired watch you'd like to add a new preset message for and select the SETTINGS icon. 
  2. While in the WATCH DATA & SETTINGS menu, select PRESET MESSAGES.
  3. You will be able to view all preset messages and add new ones with the blue + icon. Select the blue + icon.
  4. Add your new, customer preset message. Select the blue checkmark to add.
 
Location Tracking (create a safe-zone)
 
  1. In the app, select the MENU icon in the upper-left corner. Choose Safe Zones.
  2. Once in Safe Zones, select the blue + icon to add a new Safe Zone. 
  3. You may add an address, name the Safe Zone and customize the radius of the Safe Zone from 650ft to 1960ft. Then select APPLY TO designated watch.
  4. In addition to Safe Zones. Guardians may customize Automatic Location Updates and Set Monitoring Times under DEVICE SETTINGS
 
Location Tracking (using the map view to find the watch)
 
  1. In the app, select the MENU icon in the upper-left corner. Select Map View
  2. Once in the Map View, select the watch you would like to zoom in on by selecting the profile image. Choose the desired watch name.  
  3. From this view, you may access device settings or choose from available actions like SEND MESSAGE, CALL WATCH, REFRESH LOCATION, or ACTIVE TRACKING
  4. Refreshing location will manually refresh the location of the watch. You may also enable ACTIVE TRACKING to get up to the moment location activity.  
 
Track Medication
 
  1. Medication tracker can be found in the Daily Planner on the app. Select Track Medication and select NEXT
  2. Add the medication name, dosage, detailed frequency information, and customize a notification. Select SAVE.
  3. Once you've saved the tracked medication, you may view or edit in the Medication Manager.
  4. Guardians will now be notified with push medication notifications via the TIMEX app.

Power up (fast charging)
 

The 600 mAh battery can provide up to 3 full days of mixed usage, and up to 7 days of standby time. Fully charge the battery in less than 2.5 hours and quickly get back to your activities.  

 
2-Way Calling (How to make a call)
 
  1. Select the Phone in the watch menu. 
  2. Select from several options to complete calls like Contacts, Dialer, Recent Calls, and Voice Mail.
  3. Select the green call icon once a valid phone number has been entered to initiate the call.
  4. Once the call is connected, you can adjust the volume or dialer for post-connected prompts.
 
2-Way Messaging (how to send a text or app message)
 
  1. Select Messages in the watch menu. 
  2. Choose from Recent Messages to view a recent conversation or Send Message to create a new message. Select Send Message.
  3. Choose the contact you want to send a message to.
  4. Choose from App or Text.
 
2-Way Messaging (using an SMS text message)
 
  1. When choosing to use the SMS text message feature, select the Text icon. 
  2. You may view a recent SMS message conversation or select the message bubble icon to create a new one. Select the message bubble icon.
  3. You may select from designated preset messages such as "Hello!" or choose on-screen keyboard icon. Select the keyboard icon.
  4. From the on-screen keyboard, you may enter a custom message and send it as an SMS text.
 
2-Way Messaging (using an App message)
 
  1. When choosing app message, select from more robust options. Select voice message, text message, or emoji message.
  2. When selecting voice message, you may send a voice recorded message, up to 30 seconds long, to TIMEX app contact.
  3. When selecting app text message, you may send a preset message or customize using the on-screen keyboard.
  4. When selecting emoji message, you may choose from over 20 popular emojis to customize their emoji app message.
 
Location Tracking
 
  1. Select MORE in the watch menu. 
  2. Select Check-in.
  3. Select SEND to send your location to TIMEX App.
  4. Verify location is sent, then select OK.
 
SOS Button
 

How to initiate an SOS alert to your emergency contact. 

  1. From any menu, long-press the SOS side button for at least 3 seconds to initiate an SOS alert. 
  2. A long vibration feedback will alert you that an SOS has been initiated and a HELP! animation will appear on the watch screen. Continue to hold down the SOS button to complete an SOS alert.
  3. Once the animation is finished after the long press of 5 seconds, the designated Emergency Contact will be called. If you let go of the SOS button before the animation is completed, the SOS alert will be canceled.
 
Voice Commands
 
  1. From any menu, double-press the SOS side button to launch the Voice Command interface.
  2. Voice command UI will appear on the screen to prompt a command. Select the microphone icon to show available commands, or state their command clearly to complete a task. Available voice commands include:

    • "Send Message to..(name)"
    • "Show Weather" or "Weather"
    • "Show Steps"
