Admin page

 

Access the Admin Page using Wi-Fi

 
  1. Connect to the Mobile HotSpot via Wi-Fi.
  2. Launch an available web browser on your connected device and go to http://mobile.hotspot/.​ You may also enter 192.168.0.1 in the browser address bar to access the admin page.
  3. Enter the Admin Page administrator password. The default administrator password is admin.
  4. Select the Save Password checkbox if you want to skip the login screen in the future.
  5. Select Login.
 

Access the Admin Page using USB

 
  1. With the device turned off, connect the hotspot device to a PC with the included USB cable.
  2. Turn on the device.
  3. The OS detects and recognizes new hardware and finishes the installation automatically. After successful installation, the icon will appear on your desktop. If the system does not launch installation automatically, you can run the installation program in path of (My) Computer > Mobile Hotspot > choose folder based on your OS > Run set-up.exe.
  4. Select the icon to open the Admin Page login screen. If you ran the set-up.exe file, the web page interface will automatically pop up.
  5. Enter the Admin Page administrator password. The default administrator password is admin.
  6. Select the Save Password checkbox if you want to skip the login screen in the future.
  7. Select Login.
 

Change the admin password

 
  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Device Settings.
  4. Under the Account Management heading, enter a new password into the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
  5. Select Apply.
 

Change the network name (SSID)

 
  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Wi-Fi Settings.
  4. Under the SSID heading, change the name that appears in the Network Name (SSID) field.
  5. For Broadcast Network Name you may select enable or disable for broadcasting the hotspot’s Network Name (SSID).
  6. Select Apply to save your changes.
 

Change the network password

 
  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Wi-Fi Settings.
  4. Enter a new password in the Password field.
  5. Select Apply to save your changes.
 

Locate the mobile number

 
  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the Information tab.

 

Battery, Memory, & Storage

 

Battery saving mode

 
  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Device settings.
  4. Under the Wi-Fi Performance Settings heading, select one of the following for Wi-Fi Performance:
    • High performance (Longer Wi-Fi range but shorter battery life)
    • Economy mode (Shorter Wi-Fi range but longer battery life)
  5. Select Apply.
 

Tips to save battery life

 
  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Device Settings.
  4. Under the Wi-Fi Sleep Settings heading, choose one of the following for Sleep Time (shorter durations will increase battery life while Wi-Fi is not in use).
    • After 10 minutes idle
    • After 15 minutes idle
    • After 20 minutes idle
    • After 30 minutes idle
    • After 60 minutes idle
    • Never go to Standby

 

SIM Card

 
  1. Open the SIM door.
  2. Insert or remove the SIM card. When inserting, the notched end goes first, with the gold contacts facing the front (black side) of the device until it locks into place.

  3. Close the SIM door.

APN & data settings

 
  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Network Settings.
  4. Under the 'APN' heading, confirm the information entered is correct.
  5. To correct APN information, select Manual.
  6. Select Add New.
  7. Enter the following information:
    • Profile Name: T-Mobile
    • APN: fast.t-mobile.com
  8. Select Apply.
 

Manual network selection

 

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select Disconnect.
  3. Select the Settings tab.
  4. Select Network Settings.
  5. Under the 'Network Selection' heading, select Manual.
  6. Select Search.
  7. Choose the network to connect.
  8. Select Apply.
 

Turn on / off data roaming

 
  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select Disconnect.
  3. Select the Settings tab.
  4. Select Network Settings.
  5. Under the 'WAN Connection Mode Settings' heading, check or uncheck Check here, to connect to the internet in roaming status to turn data roaming on/off.
  6. Select Apply.
 

Tethering

 
  1. With the device turned off, connect the hotspot device to a PC with the included USB cable.

Default Wi-Fi SSID and password

 
  1. If the screen on the mobile hotspot is blank, use the WPS button to wake it up.
  2. Double-press the WPS button on the device.
  3. Read the SSID and Password displayed on the screen. The SSID and Password displayed on the screen will always be correct, even if they have been changed from the defaults.

 

Scan & connect to Wi-Fi

 
  1. Turn on the mobile hotspot.
  2. On your computer or other Wi-Fi enabled device, search for available Wi-Fi Networks and select the Network Name (SSID) for your Mobile HotSpot.
  3. Enter the network password. It may take up to a minute to establish a connection.
 

Turn Wi-Fi on / off

 
  1. Hold the WPS button it for less than 3 seconds then release.
  2. The device will show Connecting/Disconnecting. It will then show Connected (no X over transfer arrows), or Disconnected (X over transfer arrows).

  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the SMS tab.
  3. Select New.
  4. Enter the contact phone number.
  5. Enter the message text.
  6. Select Send.
 

View & delete messages

 
  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the SMS tab.
  3. Select the check box next to the message you want to delete.
  4. Select Delete.

  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.

  4. Under the PIN Management heading, select Change PIN.
 

Turn PIN on / off

 
  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Device Settings.
  4. Select the radio dial to enable or disable the PIN.
 

Mobile Device Unlock

 
  1. Determine if your device is eligible to be unlocked: Unlock your mobile wireless device.
  2. Contact us to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
  3. Insert the non-T-Mobile SIM and turn on the device.
  4. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  5. On the Home page, select Unlock Device.
  6. Enter the unlock code and select OK.

Auto-update time (NITZ)

 

The default setting for your device is to automatically update the time zone. To set the device clock to automatically update based on what time zone it is in, follow these steps:

  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Device Settings.
  4. In the 'SNTP' section, set the Time Set Mode to Sntp auto Synchronization.
  5. Select Apply.

  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Device Settings.
  4. In the 'SNTP' section, set Time Set Mode to Manual Set Time.
  5. Enter the following:
    • Year
    • Month
    • Date
    • Hour

  6. Select Apply.

 

Software Updates & Device Resets

 

Master reset from settings menu

 

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card.

  1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. To confirm the master reset is complete, the SSID name and Password will be reset to default settings.
 

Master reset with hardware keys

 

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card. If the device menus are frozen or unresponsive, you can master reset using hardware keys.

  1. Open the SIM card door.
  2. Insert a small object like a pin into the reset hole and hold it for three seconds to reset the device.

  4. To confirm the master reset is complete, the SSID name and Password will be reset to default settings.
