The Nest Security pack is no longer available to order. If you want help with Nest Security Pack you purchased from T-Mobile, we have you covered on this page.

On 4/8/24, Google Nest will end Nest Secure. T-Mobile customers who subscribe to the accompanying Nest Aware rate plan will see that plan cancelled from their account on that date.  Be sure to save clips of any video history that you want to keep before then. Visit Google Nest Secure for more information.

A diagram of the Nest Detect and it's parts. on the end of the Nest Detect is a motion senser and button, which senses when someone walks by. When Nest Secure is armed, you can press the button to open a door or window without the alarm going off. There is a light ring around the motion sensor and button, and if you press the button, the light will show you Nest Detect's status. The Nest Detect has an open-close magnet, which works with Nest Detect to sense when a door or window opens or closes. The battery compartment includes one CR123A 3V lithium battery. The mounting backplate attaches Nest Detect to a flat surface.

The Nest Cam and its parts. If the light above the camera is green, the Nest Cam is on. If the light is blue, it's connecting to Wi-Fi. If the light is yellow, the connection is spotty. If the light is blinking green, it means someone's watching. If the light is blinking blue, it means someone is talking through the speaker. A line pointing to the camera lens reads "See what your Nest Cam sees. Get a wide-angle view of the room or zoom in and enhance for a closer look". A line pointing to the bottom of the device reads "Talk and listen. Nest Cam has a mic and speaker so you can hear what's going on and talk through the Nest app". There is a TIP that reads "When setting up Nest Cam, make sure there isn't a wall or object limiting its view. It might throw off exposure, focus or Night Vision. Troubleshoot issues with your Nest Security Pack

For your Nest device to work, check that:

  • Your home Wi-Fi network is working for other devices.
  • Your router supports one of the following technologies/encryption: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n @ 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz; WPA-PSK,WPA2-PSK, WEP encryption.
  • Your Nest app is updated in the app store.
  • The Nest devices are set up.

If all of that checks out, then:

  1. Restart your Nest device.
  2. Update the firmware of your Nest device.
  3. Contact Nest support to check the Nest Status to check if there are any outages in the service. If there are, your devices may not work until Nest restores their service.
  4. If everything is working except the cellular backup, make sure you have the T-Mobile+ Nest Aware plan on the account. You can contact us for help with this.
  5. Contact Nest support for further support of this product.
