Get to know your SyncUP DRIVE device

  • Check images, key features, and app or device tutorials by selecting the toggle below for your SyncUP DRIVE model. 
  • All SyncUP DRIVE devices sold on or after April 14, 2022 work with a new mobile app with a slightly different experience. You can find guided help in our tutorials for the new SyncUP DRIVE app and the Legacy SyncUP DRIVE app tutorial

SyncUP DRIVE 6200

A SyncUP DRIVE device. On the top of the device (opposite the curved edge) is the OBD2 Interface. On the side of the device is the device reset hole, the micro-SIM card slot, and the restart key. On the curved edge of the device are the LED indicatorsLED Indicator behaviors and their meanings. If the LED 1 (Power) light is blinking green, the device is being powered by the internal battery. If the LED 1 (Power) light is solid green, the device is being powered by the vehicle. If the LED 2 (Signal) light is solid red, the device is on but is not connected to the cellular network. If the LED 2 (Signal) light is solid green, the device is connected to the 4G network but no data is being transferred. If the LED 2 (Signal) light is blinking green, the device is connected to the 4G LTE network and data is being transferred.

 

SyncUP DRIVE 6500

Set up your SyncUP DRIVE device

 

Insert/remove SIM card

 

Depending on your model, you may not be able to remove your SIM card.

Embedded SIM

If your device has an embedded SIM card, it cannot be removed. You can find the SIM card number on the device label, next to ICCID.

Physical SIM card (SyncUP DRIVE 6200 and 6500 only)

  1. Insert the tip of the tray eject tool to eject the SIM card tray.
  2. Place the micro-SIM card on the tray with the gold-colored contacts facing down and slide the tray back into place.
 

Install the SyncUP DRIVE (OBD2) device

 

While the device can be used in multiple cars, it can only be connected to one account at a time.

  1. Check that the car is compatible with the vehicle compatibility tool
  2. Download and install the SyncUP DRIVE app on your phone.
    • If you have the SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1, download the SyncUP DRIVE app in the Google Play Store or Apple App store
    • If you have the SyncUP DRIVE 6200, 6500, or 7000T, download the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app in the Google Play Store or Apple App store
    • You must update your software to the following versions to download the app:
      • SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app: iOS version 10.0 or higher / Android version 5.0 or higher
      • SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only): iOS version 13.0 or higher / Android version 7.0 or higher
  3. Create an account and add a car in the SyncUP DRIVE app.
  4. Make sure your vehicle is parked outside in a safe location and the engine is turned off. Do not insert or remove the SyncUP DRIVE unless the vehicle is off.
  5. Connect your OBD2 device to the OBD connector port.
    • The OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) connector is usually located on or under the dashboard, on the driver’s side.
    • Do not force your OBD2 device into the port as this can damage the device.
  6. Start the engine and go for a drive.
  7. Wait as your OBD2 device searches for and connects to the T-Mobile network. It may take 5-10 minutes to connect on the first use.
  8. Connect your phone or other devices to your network.
    • Use your normal Wi-Fi application to connect to the wireless network.
    • Select the Wi-Fi network name.
    • Enter the Wi-Fi network password. (The default is the last 8 digits of the IMEI.)
 

Cellular network settings (SyncUP DRIVE 6200 and 6500 only)

 

Manual network selection

  1. Connect to the SyncUP DRIVE hotspot over Wi-Fi.
  2. Open your browser and go to http://192.168.0.1 .
  3. Log in as Administrator. (The default Admin login is admin.)
  4. Select Settings > Network Settings.
  5. In 'Network Selection,' choose Automatic or Manual.
  6. Select Apply.

Data roaming

  1. Connect to the SyncUP DRIVE hotspot over Wi-Fi.
  2. Open your browser and go to http://192.168.0.1 .
  3. Log in as Administrator. (The default Admin login is admin.)
  4. Select Settings > Network Settings.
  5. In 'WAN Connection Mode Settings,' select Check here to connect to internet in the roaming status to enable/disable.
  6. Select Apply.

APN settings

  1. Connect to the SyncUP DRIVE hotspot over Wi-Fi.
  2. Open your browser and go to http://192.168.0.1 .
  3. Log in as Administrator.  (The default Admin login is admin.)
  4. Select Settings > Network Settings.
  5. Select Manual in the APN section.
  6. Select Add New.
  7. Enter the following details:
    • Name
    • Authentication mode
    • Username & Password

Mobile Device Unlock

SyncUP DRIVE is locked to the T-Mobile network and cannot be unlocked to use on other networks.

 

Account & password settings

 

Create an account in the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

 

You need to create a SyncUP DRIVE account when setting up your device in the SyncUP DRIVE app. This is different from your T-Mobile ID credentials (which cannot be used).

  1. Download the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app from the Google Play Store or Apple App store
  2. Open the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app and choose Sign Up.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your account.
  4. You will be sent a text message with a verification code/PIN to confirm your account. Enter the code to verify your account.
    • If the phone number displayed is incorrect, select Update next to the Wrong Phone Number.
    • You can update the phone number and resend the verification code/PIN to the new number.
  5. You will receive a brief tutorial on the app. After the tutorial, select Get started to add a car.
  6. Select Add a car
  7. Choose Scan to scan your SyncUP DRIVE device or Enter barcode manually to enter the IMEI on your device
    •  If scanning the code, you must select Allow on the window requesting access to your camera. You may need to adjust the settings of your phone to allow access (visit our tutorials for steps to update the permissions on your phone).
    • Select Enter barcode manually if unable to scan to manually enter the IMEI.
  8. Once you've logged in and added a car, you're ready to go for a drive! Go for a short drive to personalize and complete the setup. 
    1. Plug your device into the OBD port. Once the SyncUP DRIVE detects your vehicle is online, select Continue.
    2. Review the year, make, and model, then choose Select color to enter the color of your vehicle. Select Continue to proceed.
    3. Complete your vehicle profile by selecting Complete.
 

Create an account in the SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 

  1. Download the SyncUP DRIVE app from the Google Play Store or Apple App store
  2. Log in to the SyncUP DRIVE app using your T-Mobile ID. 
    • If you are a Sprint customer, choose Create T-Mobile ID in the app to create a username and password, then review the legal documents and select Accept to continue. 
    • If you're a T-Mobile customer, but you haven't created a T-Mobile ID yet, choose Get a T-Mobile ID. 
      • You will be asked to provide your first and last name, T-Mobile phone number (optional), email address, and password. For additional security, you will be asked to set up your security questions.
      • Review the legal documents and select Accept to continue.
  3. After your first login, you will be prompted to add a vehicle.  
    1. Select Add my car, enter a name for your vehicle, then select Next.
    2. Select Allow notifications > Allow to enable push notifications.
    3. Choose Scan code to scan your SyncUP DRIVE device or Enter code manually to enter the IMEI on your device
      •  If scanning the code, you must select Allow on the window requesting access to your camera. You may need to adjust the permissions settings on your phone to allow access (visit our tutorials for steps to update the permissions on your phone).
      • Select My camera isn't scanning if you are unable to scan the device to manually enter the IMEI.
    4. Select Next.
  4. Plug in your device and go for a short drive to complete the pairing process.
    1. Plug your device into the OBD port. Once the SyncUP DRIVE detects your vehicle is online, select Next.
    2. Review the vehicle name, year, make, and model, then select Next.
    3. Choose your vehicle's color, if available, and select Done
    4. For first-time users, SyncUP DRIVE will ask to access your location. Once you're done, you'll be directed the Dashboard.
 

Sign in to your SyncUP DRIVE account in the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

 
  1. Open the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app and select Sign In.
  2. Enter your mobile number and password, then select Sign In. You can also choose Sign in with Email to sign in with your email address and password.
 

Sign in to your SyncUP DRIVE account in the SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  1. Open the app and enter your T-Mobile ID and password.
  2. Select Log in.
 

Password reset in the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

 

To reset a password, you need the email or phone number that was used when you first signed into the app.

  1. Open the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app.
  2. Select Sign in > Forgot Password.
  3. Enter either the phone number or the email address originally used when first signed into the app.
  4. Select the link when you receive the forgot password text or email. You are re-directed to the app
  5. Enter a new password.
 

Password reset in the SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 

If you're logged out of your account:

  1. Open the SyncUP DRIVE app and select Forgot password.
  2. Follow the T-Mobile ID steps to reset your password.

If you're logged into your account:

  1.  Select the Menu icon.
  2. Select Account > Reset password and follow the T-Mobile ID steps to reset your password.

 

Navigate the app

  • Timeline: Shows recent trips and any recent activity, such as disturbances

Car & trip settings 

 

Add a car or device: SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

 
  • The SyncUP DRIVE device can be used in multiple cars, but it can only be connected to one SyncUP DRIVE account at a time.
    • SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app: Add up to 24 devices
    • SyncUP DRIVE app: Add up to 10 devices
  • If multiple users want to review the same information, they must log in to the same SyncUP DRIVE account (SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app) or T-Mobile ID (SyncUP DRIVE app).
  • The SyncUP DRIVE app will automatically detect any new car that the SyncUP Drive device is plugged into. To manually add a new car:
    1. Do not insert or remove the SyncUP DRIVE unless the vehicle is off.
    2. In the app, select the arrow icon.
    3. Select the magenta circle with the plus sign. 
    4. Scan the barcode on the SyncUP device. You can also choose Enter barcode manually to add the 15-digit IMEI number.
    5. Select Continue. The new care is automatically added.
    6. Select Continue.
    7. Plug the SyncUP DRIVE device into your car and start it.
    8. Begin driving the car for up to 10 minutes while the device registers to the cellular network.
    9. Once connected, the app will record the make/model of the car and VIN number.
 

Add a car or device: SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  • The SyncUP DRIVE device can be used in multiple cars, but it can only be connected to one SyncUP DRIVE account at a time.
    • SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app: Add up to 24 devices
    • SyncUP DRIVE app: Add up to 10 devices
  • If multiple users want to review the same information, they must log in to the same SyncUP DRIVE account (SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app) or T-Mobile ID (SyncUP DRIVE app).

Remove a car or device: SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

 

 

The SyncUP DRIVE app requires at least one car connected to the account. You cannot remove Active cars or the last car on the account.

  1. Do not insert or remove the SyncUP DRIVE unless the vehicle is off.
  2. In the app, select the arrow icon.
  3. Select the pencil icon next to the car you want to remove.
  4. Select Remove Car.
  5. Make sure your vehicle is off, then remove the SyncUP DRIVE device.
 

Remove a car or device: SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 

The SyncUP DRIVE app requires at least one car connected to the account. You cannot remove Active cars or the last car on the account.

  1. Pull the dashboard up.
  2. Select Car profile.
  3. On the profile, select Delete, then select Delete again to confirm. A confirmation message will appear when the car was successfully deleted.
 

Edit or review car details (name, license plate, etc): SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

 
  1. In the app, select the arrow icon.
  2. Select the pencil icon next to the car you want to review details for.
  3. View/edit the following information:
    • Nickname
    • Date Added
    • License Plate
    • VIN
    • Odometer
    • Device Status
    • Device IMEI Number (the last 8 digits are the Allstate MR number)
 

Edit or review car details (name, license plate, etc): SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  1. Pull the dashboard up. 
  2. Select Car profile. You can select the vehicle's name, license plate, or color to edit them. 
  3. Select Save > Save to confirm and save all changes. A confirmation message will appear when saved changes have been updated. 
 

View car recalls (SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app only)

 
  1. In the App, select the Recalls icon.
  2. View the list of recalls and choose a recall to get more details.
 

View trip history: SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

 
  1. In the app, select the Timeline icon. You can get the most recent trip information on the home screen.
  2. Move through the list of trips. To get more trips, select the Menu icon and set a broader date range.
  3. Choose the desired trip.
  4. Select Trip Overview to review the following:
    • Map of trip
    • Start point / end point
    • Efficiency (MPG)
    • Max speed (MPH)
    • Average speed (MPH)
    • Events (if registered)
  5. Choose Driving Behavior to review the following:
    • Rapid Accels
    • Harsh Brakes
    • Idling
    • Efficiency (MPG)
    • Max speed (MPH)
    • Average speed (MPH)
 

View trip history: SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  1. Select the Timeline icon.
    • You can use the Filter option to filter trips by one or multiple events. 
    • The Filter icon will change color to indicate that a filter is enabled. 
  2. Choose a completed trip to get an overview of the trip. 
    • The trip overview will provide specific details on each trip. 
    • Trips with events will show at the end of the trip overview page. Select an event to receive additional details. 
 

Export trip history (SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app only)

 
  1. In the app, select the Menu icon.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Select Export Trip Data > Export.
    • A link to your trip history .CSV file will be emailed to the account used for your SyncUP DRIVE account.
    • If you have multiple cars, each one has its own .CSV file. The files will be compressed into a single ZIP file.
 

Turn trip notifications on or off: SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

 
  1. In the app, select the Menu icon, then select Notifications.
  2. If you have multiple cars, choose your vehicle.
  3. Select the switch next to Trip Start to turn the trip start notification on or off.
  4. Choose the desired notification to turn on or off. When enabled, you'll have a choice of which notification sound to use.
    • Trip Complete
    • Low Fuel
    • Speed Limit
    • Disturbances
    • Check Engine Light
    • DTC Codes
    • Low Battery
    • Recalls
 

Turn trip notifications on or off: SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  1. In the app, select the Menu icon, then select Notifications.
  2. If you have multiple cars, choose your vehicle.
  3. Toggle the desired notification off (for speeding notifications, you can customize the speed at which you will receive a notification). 
 

Tire pressure alerts: Timeline event (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T and 7000T1 only)

 
  1. In the app, select Timeline icon.
    • If a Low tire pressure event was captured for a trip, it can be found by selecting the completed trip and scrolling to Events.
    • If a Low tire pressure event is captured while a trip is in progress, it can be found at the top of the timeline.
  2. Choose the Low tire pressure event to get more details.
  3. Select the X to return to the trip details page.
 

Tire pressure alerts: Engine health (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T and 7000T1 only)

 
  1. In the app, select the Battery icon.
  2. Select the Low tire pressure trouble code.
  3. Select Find a mechanic to find nearby mechanics.
  4. Select the back arrow to return to the Engine Health page.
 

Oil alerts: Timeline event (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T)

 
  1. In the app, select Timeline.
  2. Choose the Oil Alert event.
  3. Select the back arrow to return to Timeline.
 

Oil alerts: Timeline event (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1)

 
  1. In the app, select the Timeline icon.
    1. If an Oil alert event was captured for a trip, it can be found by selecting a completed trip and scrolling to Events.
    2. If an Oil alert event is captured while a trip is in progress, it can be found at the top of the timeline.
  2. Select the Low tire pressure event to get more details.
  3. Select the X to return to the trip details page.
 

Oil alerts: Engine health  (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T and 7000T1 only)

 
  1. In the app, select Engine.
  2. Choose the Oil Alert event.
  3. Select the back arrow to return to the Engine Health page.
 

Seatbelt status alerts: SyncUP DRIVE 7000T

 

There are two seatbelt status alerts: engaged and not engaged. Not engaged will trigger when a trip is active and the seatbelt is not engaged. The engaged alert will only trigger when the not engaged event has been triggered and the seatbelt is then engaged during the trip. 

  1. In the app, select Timeline.
  2. Select Events for a trip with Seatbelt Status Events
  3. Choose the Seatbelt Status event.
  4. Select the back arrow to return to Timeline.
 

Seatbelt status alerts: SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1

 
  • Seatbelt status alerts will depend on whether your vehicle will report it to the device. You can use the compatibility checker to determine if the feature is supported.
  • Based on your vehicle's compatibility, there will be two seatbelt status alerts: unbuckled and buckled. 
    • An Unbuckled event will trigger when a trip is in progress and the seatbelt is not buckled.
    • A Buckled event will trigger when the seatbelt is fastened during a trip. 
  • To review a Timeline event while a trip is in progress:
    1. In the app, select the Timeline icon.
    2. Select the seatbelt event to get more details on the event
    3. Select the X to return to dashboard.

 

Wi-Fi hotspot settings 

 

Turn Wi-Fi hotspot on/off & connect in the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

 
  1. In the app, select the Hotspot icon.
  2. Select Wi-Fi hotspot.
  3. Choose your car.
  4. Select Wi-Fi Hotspot to turn on/off.
  5. View the Hotspot name and password.
  6. Connect any devices to the Hotspot as needed (follow device-specific steps as each device has different steps, such as Apple iPhone or Samsung Galaxy).

Change Wi-Fi hotspot network name or password

 
  1. In the app, select the Menu icon or settings gear.
  2. Select Wi-Fi Hotspot.
  3. Choose your car.
  4. Select Name. Enter a new network name, then select Done.
  5. Select Password. Enter a new network password, then select Done.
 

Change Wi-Fi hotspot network name or password in the SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 

You can connect up to 5 devices to the hotspot. Follow the device-specific steps or visit our tutorials for guided steps to connect your phone or tablet to hotspot.

  1. Pull the dashboard up.
  2. Select Wi-Fi hotspot.
  3. Select Hotspot name or Password to update either field. 
  4. Select Save > Save to save your changes. A confirmation message will appear to confirm the update was successful.
 

Change Wi-Fi hotspot network name or password on the Hotspot Administrator page (SyncUP DRIVE 6200 and 6500 only)

 
  1. Connect to the SyncUP DRIVE hotspot over Wi-Fi.
  2. Open your browser and go to http://192.168.0.1 .
  3. Log in as Administrator. (The default Admin login is admin.)
  4. Select Settings > Device Settings.
  5. In 'Account Management,' follow the steps to enter your new password.
 

Change the Wi-Fi security type

 
  1. Connect to the SyncUP DRIVE hotspot over Wi-Fi.
  2. Open your browser and go to http://192.168.0.1 .
  3. Log in as Administrator. (The default Admin login is admin.)
  4. Select Settings > Wi-Fi Settings.
  5. Select Security Mode.
  6. Choose from the following:
    • WPA2-PSK
    • WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK
    • SHARED
    • OPEN

 

Virtual Boundaries 

 

Set up Virtual Boundaries in the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

 

The SyncUP DRIVE can automatically alert you when your car enters or exits a certain area.

  1. In the app, select the Menu icon.
  2. Select Virtual Boundaries > Create a Virtual Boundary.
  3. Move the pink dot to the desired location on the map.
  4. Select Next and edit the following settings:
    • Name
    • Enter and Exist Notifications
    • Notification sound
    • Apply to (car)
  5. Select Save.
 

Set up Virtual Boundaries in the SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  1. Select the Menu icon from the dashboard. 
  2. Select Virtual boundaries to review active virtual boundaries or add new ones.
  3. Select Add virtual boundary to add a new boundary.
  4. Enter the address of the desired center point of the boundary, then select Next.
  5. Select each line (Name, Assigned to, Activate notifications) to add details.
  6. Select Save. A message will appear confirming the new virtual boundary was added. If you need to edit a virtual boundary:
    1. Select the Menu icon from the dashboard.
    2. Select Virtual boundaries then choose the virtual boundary you'd like to edit. 
    3. Make any desired updates, then select Save, or choose Delete > Delete to remove the virtual bound

 

Roadside Assistance with AAA

T-Mobile and AAA provide on-demand access to a 24/7 toll-free hotline and roadside assistance.

  • Make sure you've added a vehicle or SyncUP DRIVE device in the app. You can't request assistance without it.
  • Check terms and limitations. 
  • You can use the app to request help. Check out our App ttorials to learn how. 

Request Roadside Assistance in the SyncUP DRIVE Legacy app

  1. From the app, select Services > Roadside Assistance.
  2. Accept the AAA terms and conditions. The first time you attempt to create a service, you will be prompted to accept the terms and conditions. It may take up to 5 minutes for the acceptance to be found on AAA's side (which is required for service).
  3. Select call AAA to complete the request. The AAA phone number is 1-888-291-1006.
 

Request Towing in the SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  1. Select the Menu icon.
  2. Select Roadside assistance > Next
  3. If you haven't used roadside assistance before, review and accept the terms and services, then select Accept
  4. If you have multiple vehicles, select the vehicle that needs roadside assistance. 
  5. Enter the address of the car's location and select Next
  6. Select I need a tow truck
 

Locked out / lost broken keys assistance in the SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  1. Select the Menu icon.
  2. Select Roadside assistance > Next
  3. If you haven't used roadside assistance before, review and accept the terms and services, then select Accept
  4. If you have multiple vehicles, select the vehicle that needs roadside assistance. 
  5. Enter the address of the car's location and select Next
  6. Select I'm locked out of my car
    1. If you select They're broken, lost, or stolen, a tow service will be required.
    2. Select Next or choose Call AAA to get help over the phone. 
    3. Select an AAA-approved repair facility or choose I'll select my own destination.
    4. Select Tow here to choose the AAA-approved repair facility or fill in the address of the desired tow location and select Next.
    5. Confirm the service request, then select Confirm or Cancel service request if you no longer require service. 
    6. Select Call to call AAA for additional help or support, or select Close to return to the dashboard. 
 

Fuel delivery request in the SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  1. Select the Menu icon.
  2. Select Roadside assistance > Next
  3. If you haven't used roadside assistance before, review and accept the terms and services, then select Accept
  4. If you have multiple vehicles, select the vehicle that needs roadside assistance. 
  5. Enter the address of the car's location and select Next
  6. Select I ran out of gas
    1. If you select Premium, diesel, or unknown, a tow service will be required.
    2. Select Next or choose Call AAA to get help over the phone. 
    3. Select an AAA-approved repair facility or choose I'll select my own.
    4. Select Tow here to choose the AAA-approved repair facility or fill in the address of the desired tow location and select Next.
    5. Confirm the service request, then select Confirm or Cancel service request if you no longer require service. 
    6. Select Call to call AAA for additional help or support, or select Close to return to the dashboard. 
 

Flat tire assistance in the SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  1. Select the Menu icon.
  2. Select Roadside assistance > Next
  3. If you haven't used roadside assistance before, review and accept the terms and services, then select Accept
  4. If you have multiple vehicles, select the vehicle that needs roadside assistance. 
  5. Enter the address of the car's location and select Next
  6. Select I have a flat tire
  7. Select One flat tire > Yes, then select Next or choose Call AAA to get help over the phone.
  8. Confirm the service request, then select Confirm or Cancel service request if you no longer require service. 
  9. Select Call to call AAA for additional help or support, or select Close to return to the dashboard. 
 

Jump-start request in the SyncUP DRIVE app (SyncUP DRIVE 7000T1 only)

 
  1. Select the Menu icon.
  2. Select Roadside assistance > Next
  3. If you haven't used roadside assistance before, review and accept the terms and services, then select Accept
  4. If you have multiple vehicles, select the vehicle that needs roadside assistance. 
  5. Enter the address of the car's location and select Next
  6. Select I need a jump-start
  7. Select My car won't turn on or start, then select Next or choose Call AAA to get help over the phone.
  8. Confirm the service request, then select Confirm or Cancel service request if you no longer require service. 
  9. Select Call to call AAA for additional help or support, or select Close to return to the dashboard. 

 

Reset (SyncUP DRIVE 6200 and 6500 only)

Reset the SyncUP DRIVE (OBD2) device when you're transferring it to a new owner to delete any information and reset the settings to default.

On the device

  1. Insert a pin into the Reset hole.
  2. Hold for three seconds or until the LED1 indicator turns red.

On the Hotspot Administrator page

  1. Connect to the SyncUP DRIVE hotspot over Wi-Fi.
  2. Open your browser and enter the URL: http://192.168.0.1.
  3. Log in as Administrator (the default Admin login is admin.)
  4. Select Settings > Device Settings.
  5. Select Reset.

 

Troubleshoot issues with SyncUP DRIVE

For your SyncUP DRIVE device to work, make sure:

  The vehicle is compatible​ with SyncUP.

  The SyncUP DRIVE device has a SIM card and is set up.

  You've waited at least 15 minutes after setup, and taken your car on a drive.

If all of that checks out, then:

  1. Turn off the vehicle, and unplug the device from the OBD port.
  2. Plug the device back into the OBD port, and restart the vehicle.
  3. Check the LED light shows a connection. Make sure the care is outside in an area it can get a signal.
    • Solid red: The device has power, but no cellular connection.
    • Solid green: The device is connected to cellular data and GPS.
    • Blinking green: The device is not yet connected to the cellular network or GPS network.
  4. Delete the SyncUP app from your phone.
  5. Re-install the SyncUP DRIVE app from the app store.
