After turning on your device the first time, you may see a setup wizard to help you set up Apple iOS 10. Check the software version using Software versions & updates: Apple iOS 10.

First-time use

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Slide your finger to the right on the screen to begin.
  3. Select your language from the list.
  4. Select your country / region from the list.
  5. Choose a Wi-Fi network and, if prompted, enter the password then tap Join. If Wi-Fi is not available, tap Use Cellular Connection.
  6. Choose to enable or disable location services and tap Next.
  7. Choose to create a passcode.
  8. Choose one of the following and tap Next:
    • Restore from iCloud Backup
    • Restore from iTunes Backup
    • Set Up as New iPhone
    • Move Data from Android
  9. Follow the onscreen instructions to create / sign into an Apple ID, sign into iCloud, or connect to your computer.
