Learn how to wipe the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 using the hardware keys. If the device is not working correctly, you may need to master reset it and also clear the cache partition. These two resets clear different parts of the device storage. Unlike a master reset, wiping the cache partition does not delete your personal data

 

 

Wipe cache partition

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key, then press and hold the Power key.
  3. When the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 logo screen displays, release only the Power key
  4. When the Android logo displays, release all keys.
  5. Wait while 'Installing system update' shows for about 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
  6. Press the Volume Down key several times key to highlight 'wipe cache partition.'
  7. Press Power button to select.
  8. Press the Volume down key until 'Yes' is highlighted.
  9. Press Power button to select and start the cache partition wipe.
  10. When the cache partition wipe is complete, 'Reboot system now' is highlighted.
  11. Press the Power key to restart the device.
