Android 10

  1. Determine if devices are eligible to be unlocked.
  2. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  3. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi & Internet > SIM & Network > Advanced.
  4. Wait while the device connects to the server.
  5. Choose the desired device unlock type:
    • Permanent Unlock
    • Temporary Unlock - requires a mobile data connection
  6. Wait while the device requests the unlock.
  7. If successful, restart the device to apply the settings.
    • Permanent Success
    • Temporary Success
  8. If you do not restart the device, a persistent alert will appear in the notification tray.

Android 9

  1. Determine if devices are eligible to be unlocked.
  2. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  3. Open the Unlock or Device Unlock app and tap Continue. It may be in the T-Mobile folder.
  4. Wait while the device connects to the server.
  5. Choose the desired device unlock type:
    • Permanent Unlock
    • Temporary Unlock - requires a mobile data connection
  6. Wait while the device requests the unlock.
  7. If successful, restart the device to apply the settings.
    • Permanent Success
    • Temporary Success
  8. If you do not restart the device, a persistent alert will appear in the notification tray.
