Learn how to back up and restore apps, contacts, photos, and data on the LG G Pad X2 8.0 Plus.

 

 

 

Back up apps

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Under 'PERSONAL,' tap Backup & reset.
  3. Tap Automatic restore to turn on.
  4. Tap Back up my data.
  5. Turn the slider On to back up app data.

 

Back up contacts

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Under 'PERSONAL,' tap Backup & reset.
  3. Tap Backup & restore.
  4. Tap Backup.
  5. Under 'Back up to,' select Internal storage.
  6. Tap the drop down arrow for Personal data.
  7. Tap Contacts.
  8. Tap Start.

 

Back up contacts to SD card

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Under 'PERSONAL,' tap Backup & reset.
  3. Tap Backup & restore.
  4. Tap Backup.
  5. Under 'Back up to,' select SD card.
  6. Tap the drop down arrow for Personal data.
  7. Tap Contacts.
  8. Tap Start.

 

Back up media & pictures

 

From phone

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Under 'PERSONAL,' tap Backup & reset.
  3. Tap Backup & restore.
  4. Tap Backup.
  5. Under 'Back up to,' select SD card.
  6. Tap the drop down arrow for Media data.
  7. Select the following to back up:
    • Music
    • Images
    • Videos
    • Documents
  8. Tap Start.

 

From computer - PC

  1. Connect your phone to a PC using the MicroUSB cable attached to your LG charger.
  2. If prompted, select Media sync (MTP).
  3. On the PC, open My computer.
  4. Right-click the backup file (ending with .sbf) and select Copy.
  5. Right-click location to save backup file to on computer.
  6. Paste the backup file to the PC.

 

Restore apps

If you selected Automatic restore before resetting your device, all apps will restore automatically. If you did not, please follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Under 'PERSONAL,' tap Backup & reset.
  3. Tap Backup & restore.
  4. Tap Restore.
  5. Select the backup file you wish to restore.
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Tap Restore.

 

Restore contacts
