Learn how to set up and use Wi-Fi calling and connection preferences on the LG G8 ThinQ.

Turn on & connect

To use Wi-Fi calling, you must first register an E911 address and turn on Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

  1. Register your E911 address at My T-Mobile.
  2. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  3. Tap the 'Networks' tab.
  4. Turn on Wi-Fi.
  5. Tap Call.
  6. Tap the Wi-Fi calling switch to turn on.

Set connection preference

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap the 'Networks' tab.
  3. Tap Call.
  4. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi calling switch to turn on.
  5. Tap Wi-Fi Calling > Connection preferences.
  6. Select the desired connection preference:
    • Wi-Fi preferred
    • Cellular network preferred
    • Never use cellular network
