No matter what you want to do with your new device, we have plenty of resources available to help you get on your way.

First-time use

When you first turn on your new device, you might see a setup wizard to help get you started. Take a look at the steps below to walk through the setup process.

  1. Ensure the SIM card is inserted. This device has an embedded, non-removable battery.
  2. Tap English (United States) to change the device language.
  3. Tap Accessibility to adjust accessibility settings.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. If desired, select the Wi-Fi check box to turn on Wi-Fi and select a network.
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Perform one of the following actions for an LG account:
    • Tap Sign in if you have an LG account.
    • Tap Sign up to create an LG account.
    • Tap Skip to move to the next screen.
  8. Update the following under Useful settings:
    • Phone name
    • Lost phone contact number
  9. Tap Next.
  10. If desired tap Set Knock Code or tap Skip.
  11. Update Home touch button combination, or tap Next to skip.
  12. Perform one of the following actions for Google account:
    • Tap Yes to log in to your Google account. Enter your email address and password, and then tap the Next arrow.
    • Tap No if you do not have a Google account. Tap Get an account then follow the prompts. Otherwise, tap Not now.
  13. Select or clear check boxes for the following settings:
    • Use Wi-Fi and mobile network location
    • Let Google apps access your location
  14. Tap Next.
  15. Read the System Manager (Carrier IQ) information:
    • To learn more, tap More info.
    • When finished, tap Close.
  16. If desired, select the following options:
    • Set up Voicemail
    • Sign in to Email
  17. To skip voicemail and email setup, tap Go to Home screen.
  18. Review the setup information, then tap OK.

Transferring data

Sure it's time to say goodbye to your old device, but before you do, don't forget to transfer your pictures, videos, and anything else you might want to keep over to your new device. Take a look at the Set up a new mobile device page
