Use these steps to manage contacts and caller groups on the LG G6.

 

 

 

Add contact

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Essentials folder > Contacts.
  2. Tap the + sign.
  3. Select an account to sync contact with:
    • Phone contact
    • SIM
    • Google
  4. Update the contact details.
  5. When finished, tap Save.

 

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From any home screen, tap the Essentials folder.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Tap the + plus sign.
  4. Tap the Phone contact down arrow.
  5. Select an account to sync contact with:
    • Phone
    • Google
    • SIM
  6. Update the contact details.
  7. When finished, tap SAVE.

 

Add contact to speed dial

  1. From any home screen, tap Phone.
  2. Tap the Dial tab > Menu > Speed dial.
  3. Select the dial pad number you want to assign.
  4. Select the contact you want to assign.
  5. The contact's information appears next to the assigned number.

 

Add number to caller group

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Essentials folder > Contacts.
  2. Tap Groups.
  3. Tap the group you want to edit.
  4. Tap Menu > Edit group.
  5. Tap Add members.
  6. Select the contact(s) to add.
  7. Tap ADD.

 

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From any home screen, tap the Essentials folder.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Tap Groups.
  4. Tap the group you want to edit.
  5. Tap Menu > Edit group.
  6. Tap Add members.
  7. Select the contact(s) to add.
  8. Tap ADD.

 

Export contacts

Export moves contacts from the SD card or SIM card.

 

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Essentials folder > Contacts.
  2. Tap Menu > Manage contacts.
  3. Tap Back up.
  4. Under To, choose destination:
    • SIM
    • SD card
    • Internal storage
  5. Tap OK.
  6. Select the contact(s) you want to move, or tap Select all.
  7. Tap Back up and then tap YES.

 

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From any home screen, tap the Essentials folder.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Tap Menu > Manage contacts.
  4. Tap Back up.
  5. Under 'To,' choose destination:
    • SIM
    • SD card
    • Internal storage
  6. Tap OK.
  7. Select the contact(s) you want to move, or tap Select all.
  8. Tap EXPORT, then tap YES.

 

Import contacts

Import moves contacts to the SD card or SIM card.

 

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Essentials folder > Contacts.
  2. Tap Menu > Manage contacts.
  3. Tap Import.
  4. Under From, choose where to import from:
    • SIM
    • SD card
    • Internal storage
  5. Under To, choose destination:
    • Phone
    • Google
  6. Tap OK.
  7. Select the contact(s) you want to move, or tap Select all.
  8. Tap IMPORT and then tap YES.

 

Android version 7.1.2

  1. Tap the Essentials folder.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Tap Menu > Manage contacts.
  4. Tap Import.
  5. Under 'From,' choose the source:
    • SIM
    • SD card
    • Internal storage
  6. Under 'To,' choose the destination:
    • Phone
    • Google
  7. Tap OK.
  8. Select the contact(s) you want to move, or tap Select all.
  9. Tap IMPORT, then tap YES.

 

Create caller group

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Essentials folder > Contacts.
  2. Tap Groups > Menu icon.
  3. Tap New group.
  4. Edit the New group fields.
  5. Tap the + sign next to Add members.
  6. Select the contact(s) to add.
  7. Tap Add.
  8. Tap SAVE.

 

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From any home screen, tap the Essentials folder.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Tap Groups > Menu > New group.
  4. Edit the New group fields.
  5. Tap the + sign to add members.
  6. Select the contact(s) to add.
  7. Tap Add > SAVE.

 

Delete contact

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Essentials folder > Contacts.
  2. Touch and hold the contact.
  3. Tap Delete contact, then tap YES

 

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From any home screen, tap the Essentials folder.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Touch and hold the contact.
  4. Tap Delete contact > YES.
