On your device, open the dialer in your phone app to make a call. 2. Enter the __plus sign +__ (press and hold the 0 key), followed by the country code, and then the phone number. For example, to __call Mexico from the US:__ Enter the __plus sign__ __+__ > Enter __52__ > Enter the two or three-digit area code > Enter the __7__ or __8__ digit phone number.   ### Call another country when outside the United States Check out [International roaming services and rates](https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans/international-roaming-plans) for costs prior to making an international call.  - __Call the US from another country:__ Dial the __plus sign +__, then __1__, then __area code__, and the __number__ (example: +1-555-123-4567). - __Call other countries (not the US):__ Dial the __plus sign +__, then __country code__, __city code__ (if necessary), and __number__. - __Call toll-free numbers from outside the US:__ Toll-free numbers such as 1-800 or 1-888 cannot be guaranteed to work while abroad. Be sure to look up alternate numbers before you take your trip. - __Call T-Mobile Customer Service from another country:__ From your mobile device, dial [+1-505-998-3793](tel:1-505-998-3793). We won't charge you anything for this call, no matter where you are.
