### International data
- While many plans provide international data, you can [add an international data pass](https://www.t-mobile.com/support/plans-features/international-passes) if you need more high-speed data
- A data pass gives you access to the highest available data speeds depending on what country or destination you're visiting AND it provides unlimited calling (as long as you are calling to or from) [215+ supported countries and destinations](https://www.t-mobile.com/support/coverage/international-roaming-services#heading4) (including the U.S. and Puerto Rico).
If you're in a destination where international roaming is not included with your plan or international pass, you can still use calling and messaging services but data is turned off by default.
- You can turn on data by dialing __#RON#__.
- As data is used, you will receive free text messages notifying you of the incurred charges.
- If you want to turn data back off, dial __#ROF#__.

We have two options for blocking usage while traveling outside of the United States. Only the [Primary Account Holder](https://www.t-mobile.com/support/account/set-up-line-permissions) can block this service on My T-Mobile or T-Life App.

### Block international roaming
If you block all international roaming, you'll no longer be able to call, text or use data for the selected line while roaming outside the US. You can still use Wi-Fi for calls and text; additional charges may apply.
### Block charged international roaming
If you block charged international roaming, you'll prevent your line from incurring any international data roaming charges in countries not included in your plan.

A 24-hour service restriction is applied to data and texting for all roaming subscribers connecting to any Russian network. During this time, connect to Wi-Fi for data usage. Voice services are not impacted.
The restriction begins automatically when subscribers first register on a Russian network and remains in place for 24 hours.
__Disclaimer:__ As of November 2025, access to SMS after 24 hours should be available. Access to data is inconsistent. After the 24-hour period, services resume as normal.
The statement “Services will resume as normal” no longer applies as of November 2025.
If there is no activity from the device for three consecutive days after the restriction is removed, it is re-applied until activity occurs. Once activity resumes, the next 24-hour restriction starts.
