Staying connected during COVID-19.

In a year where being connected was more important than ever, we focused on our customers. We joined the FCC’s Keep Americans Connected pledge, launched T-Mobile Connect—a low-cost smartphone plan—and temporarily lit up 600 MHz of spectrum to address increased network demands.

Keeping our customers connected isn’t just what we do, it’s our #1 priority—from building America’s largest, fastest, most reliable 5G network to providing on-the-ground support during natural disasters and free service and 5G access to America’s first responder agencies.

In 2020 we launched Equity In Action, a five-year plan that builds on our long-standing commitment to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion for our employees, the suppliers we do business with, and our communities.

Through Employee Resource Groups and leadership development programs, we worked to create an environment where employees feel valued and are empowered to grow.

We’re always striving to make a meaningful impact in our communities by finding bigger and bolder ways to give back. In 2020, we launched Project 10Million, our $10 billion commitment to help ensure that every school-age child, regardless of income, has access to the Internet.

Building a greener world.

We're taking ambitious actions to create a more sustainable future. We were the first in the industry to set science-based targets to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, and we're on track to meet our RE100 pledge and goal to source renewable energy equivalent to 100% of our total electricity usage by the end of 2021.

We’re proud of the trust our customers and communities have in us—and we never take it for granted. Our latest defense technology, ScamShield, has helped protect customers from scammers and robocalls, and, in early 2021, we launched an updated Privacy Center that helps customers manage how their data is used.

Along with our nationwide 5G network, we invested in 5G innovation by co-founding the 5G Open Innovation lab—a global ecosystem for companies, academics, and government—and operating the T-Mobile Accelerator and the T-Mobile Ventures Investment Fund to support startups and 5G development.
