Néstor Cano serves as a strategic advisor at T-Mobile, bringing deep expertise in technology transformation, operational excellence, and digital innovation.

As a trusted advisor, he supports the company’s ongoing efforts to modernize and scale its technology ecosystem, helping to accelerate digital-first business strategies that create meaningful personalized customer experiences.

In his previous role as executive vice president, Transformation & Chief Information & Digital Officer, he led the IT organization, including IT infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data & AI, and technology development and delivery, ensuring a stable, secure, and modernized technology ecosystem. This end-to-end ecosystem operating together helps drive T-Mobile’s efforts to create deeply data-informed, AI-enabled, and digital-first business models that drive personalized customer experiences.

Before joining T-Mobile, Néstor was the chief operating officer at Sprint, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s transformation and operational excellence. He oversaw Sprint’s omnichannel operations, information technology, analytics, digital architecture, customer management, leasing, supply chain, and the transformation office. Following the historic T-Mobile and Sprint merger in 2020, Néstor contributed significantly to integration efforts, streamlining operations, and eliminating customer pain points.

Earlier in his career, Néstor was president of European operations at Tech Data, one of the world’s largest IT product and service distributors. During his tenure, he drove significant profit improvements through process enhancements and operational excellence.

Originally from Spain, Néstor studied industrial engineering from Barcelona Polytechnic University and completed advanced management programs at IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, and the Executive Distribution Academy at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

Outside of work, Néstor is passionate about live music, kiteboarding, playing pickleball, and always staying adventurous.
