In this role, he focuses on expanding T-Mobile’s presence in business and government while building new paths for growth beyond core wireless. André brings more than two decades of global leadership experience in telecommunications and media, with a proven record of scaling businesses, simplifying operations and leading high-performing teams. He joined T-Mobile’s board of directors in 2023, serving on the compensation, transaction, and nominating and corporate governance committees — experience that gave him deep insight into the Un-carrier’s strategy and culture. Known for his expertise in B2B and consumer markets, fiber and corporate strategy, he worked closely with T-Mobile’s leadership and is recognized for driving results with a customer-first mindset. Before joining T-Mobile’s leadership team, André was Deutsche Telekom’s head of investment and portfolio management. Prior to that, he was DT’s European head of Consumer and B2B telecom, overseeing 10 countries before becoming interim CEO of its European segment. Also at DT, André led Consumer and Fiber for the German business. In addition, he served on the executive boards of NOS SGPS and ZON Multimedia and began his career at Portugal Telecom, where he advanced to leadership roles. André earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial management engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD (Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires).
