Before you get too far in, you'll need to make sure that you're:

  • Currently in a contract or have an outstanding device balance (e.g., AT&T Next or Verizon Edge) with another eligible carrier
  • Transferring an eligible number(s)

STEP 1: Order your device and voice plan today

Shop for your new device(s), select a T-Mobile ONE™ plan and amount of 4G LTE data—then check out. When you reach the payment page, you’re ready for step 2.

STEP 2: Transfer your current number

You can transfer your number(s) one of two ways:

(1) Dial 611, or call Customer Care at 1-877-453-1304, when you receive your new T-Mobile phone or SIM card (we recommend this method if you need to use your current phone until your new T-Mobile phone or SIM card arrives)

OR

(2) Follow the number transfer instructions on the payment page at checkout (we recommend this method if you do not need to use you current phone until your new T-Mobile phone or SIM card arrives). For information on shipping times, see our shipping options.

Reminder: Do NOT cancel your wireless account until your T-Mobile account has been activated.

You can trade in your device(s) one of two ways:  (1) at checkout, from your order confirmation page, add your device info, then print the free postage-paid shipping label and send in your device, OR (2) after you receive your new device, return to our trade-in page within 14 days and be sure to have your order number and T-Mobile phone number handy. You will receive a trade-in credit based on the market value of your eligible device.

As soon as you receive your old carrier’s final bill with your Early Termination Fees (ETFs) or your device payment plan balance, log into www.switch2tmobile.com and submit it to us electronically to receive a prepaid card in the amount of your old carrier’s ETF or, for the device offer, your remaining device balance.

Pay-off your device requires trade-in of financed/leased device in good condition; your payments must be current. Payments consist of: (1) credit of device trade-in value, and (2) Prepaid MasterCard® Card in amount of carrier’s Early Termination Fee (for ETF offer) or remaining device balance, including lease purchase option if applicable, minus trade-in credit (for device offer) (card not redeemable for cash and expires in 12 months unless extended by Issuer). Sales tax on ETF/device excluded. You must submit final bill showing ETF or device balance (& valid exercise of lease purchase option, if applicable) within 2 calendar months of port-in and be active and in good standing with T-Mobile when payment is processed; allow up to 8 weeks. Additional validation may be required. Up to 12 lines; all lines must be activated in same T-Mobile market with same billing address. One offer per subscriber. Check your contract(s) with your carrier for your rights and obligations. T-Mobile Prepaid MasterCard® Card is rebate/reimbursement or exchange on new device, service, or port-in (maximum $350 per individual for ETF); for any tax implications of payment, consult a tax advisor.
