Premium Wi-Fi Wireless Broadband Service Makes Hyatt the Clear Choice for Business Travelers

Bellevue, Wash. — Jun. 3, 2004

Today, Hyatt introduces a premium branded Wi-Fi service - T-Mobile HotSpot at Hyatt Hotels and Resorts across the United States. T-Mobile HotSpot provides Hyatt's guests with industry leading service quality and reliability, customer support and innovative features from a brand known worldwide.

With the largest carrier-owned Wi-Fi network in the United States, T-Mobile HotSpot is available in more than 4,600 locations such as Starbucks, Borders Books & Music, FedEx Kinko's Office and Print Centers, airports and select American Airlines Admirals Clubs, Delta Air Lines Crown Rooms, United Airlines Red Carpet Clubs and US Airways Clubs. T-Mobile's broad-scale network makes it easy for mobile business travelers to weave wireless broadband into the fabric of their everyday lives with a single provider.

By the end of 2004, T-Mobile HotSpot is planned to be available in the lobby and other public areas at most Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in the United States, as well as in select guest rooms.

The deployment of the T-Mobile HotSpot service in Hyatt Hotels has already begun. The Hyatt Charlotte (N.C.) is the first property to be transformed into a T-Mobile HotSpot with wireless broadband service available in-room and at public areas, starting today. Hyatt Regency O'Hare (Chicago) will follow next week while Columbus (OH), Chesapeake Bay (MD) and the Grand Hyatt New York are set to receive the T-Mobile HotSpot service in coming weeks. The rollout will continue through the rest of 2004 and into 2005.

In addition to reliable Wi-Fi service in convenient locations, network security is also high on the wish lists of business travelers and, of course, their corporate I.T. managers. T-Mobile is an industry leader with respect to supporting customers' security solutions such as corporate virtual private networks and personal firewalls. This leadership position will be further enhanced with the planned launch of the 802.1x security protocol across the T-Mobile HotSpot network.

Today's announcement to make the service available in Hyatt Hotels and Resorts further underscores that the clear choice is T-Mobile and Hyatt for mobile business travelers who want the convenience of staying connected to email, the Internet and corporate intranets with a premium wireless broadband service at a premium hotel.

"With T-Mobile, we offer our guests a premium brand of wireless service in which they can have confidence," said Tom O'Toole, senior vice president of strategy and systems for Hyatt. "This furthers Hyatt's position as a premium, global brand and industry leader."

"Our customers have specifically asked us to extend our service to hotels, and Hyatt was at the top of their list," said Joe Sims, vice president and general manager of T-Mobile HotSpot. "This is a significant milestone for T-Mobile as we continue to provide wireless broadband service in all the places our customers go. Today's traveling business people expect high-quality, reliable and easy-to-use Wi-Fi service and there's no better partnership than T-Mobile and Hyatt to make that possible."
