T-Mobile HotSpot Subscribers Get More® Wi-Fi Access Across the Atlantic

Bellevue, Wash. — Feb. 24, 2004

Continuing to drive even more value for its growing base of Wi-Fi subscribers, T-Mobile USA, Inc. today announced T-Mobile HotSpot subscribers can get wireless broadband access in five countries where the company’s European T-Mobile affiliates currently have more than 700 T-Mobile HotSpot locations.

In a presentation at 3GSMa in Cannes, France, Joe Sims, vice president and general manager of T-Mobile HotSpot USA, said today's announcement addresses a need of traveling business professionals, who have come to rely on the convenience of a wireless broadband connection as part of their daily routine. "The T-Mobile HotSpot magenta bulls eye will be a familiar symbol for our subscribers traveling in Europe, promising a reliable experience like they have come to expect when using our Wi-Fi service in more than 4,100 locations across the U.S.," Sims said. "Now T-Mobile USA subscribers can get a seamless Wi-Fi experience while traveling abroad."

Sims said today's announcement is another example of how T-Mobile delivers on its Get More® promise to provide subscribers with the best overall value in their wireless service.

Using their same T-Mobile HotSpot login, U.S. based 'road warriors' will be able to stay connected using their Wi-Fi enabled laptop or PDA at more than 700 premium European T-Mobile HotSpot locations such as Starbucks and leading hotel chains within Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. With a simple click of a mouse and use of their same user name and password, T-Mobile USA's Wi-Fi subscribers can get a dependable wireless broadband connection.

Subscribers can easily find European T-Mobile HotSpot locations, prior to their trip, by using the HotSpot locator on the T-Mobile HotSpot Web site (www.t-mobile.com/hotspot).

T-Mobile HotSpot's European subscribers, visiting the United States, will also be able to surf the Web, check email or view streaming media at wireless broadband speeds at Starbucks, Borders Books and Music, Kinko's, numerous airports and selected American Airlines Admirals Clubs, Delta Air Lines Crown Room Clubs, United Airlines Red Carpet Clubs and US Airways Clubs.

With more than 4,100 T-Mobile HotSpot locations in the United States and 700 locations across Europe, subscribers have access to broad-scale, carrier class Wi-Fi networks.
