Beginning today, T-Mobile will put into operation a new program, recently authorized by the Federal Election Commission (FEC), which will enable T-Mobile customers to text presidential campaign contributions using their mobile phones. T-Mobile moved quickly to enable this capability in accordance with FEC guidelines utilizing our established direct carrier billing solution. The program is currently being limited to the two U.S. presidential campaigns, and each campaign is responsible for providing shortcode information that can be used to make contributions via text message.
