T-Mobile HotSpot Wireless Broadband Service Joins Cisco Powered Network Program to Deliver Reliable Wi-Fi Wireless Internet Service

Industry Leaders Teaming to Drive Wireless Broadband for Mobile Professionals On the Go

Bellevue, Wash. — Mar. 22, 2004

T-Mobile USA, Inc. today announced that its T-Mobile HotSpot Wi-Fi Internet service has received the Cisco Powered Network designation. T-Mobile s participation in the Cisco Powered Network program demonstrates to mobile professionals and enterprise IT managers its ability to provide industry-leading services that are based primarily on Cisco’s solutions. T-Mobile and Cisco will also engage in joint marketing and technology sharing initiatives.

T-Mobile HotSpot, the largest carrier-owned wireless broadband network in the country, uses Cisco Systems, Inc. equipment in more than 4,200 T-Mobile Hotspots including Starbucks, Borders Books and Music, Kinko s, airports, American Airlines Admirals Clubs, Delta Air Lines Crown Room Clubs, United Airlines Red Carpet Clubs and US Airways Clubs.

Innovative Cisco Aironet Wi-Fi infrastructure is key in the development of new mobile data services in T-Mobile Hotspots throughout the USA.
