Cable Vet Amos Smith, a former Time Warner Cable chief financial officer, has joined Layer3 TV as chief financial officer. Smith brings to the next generation company extensive operational experience in the cable industry. He will lead business operations and fundraising for Layer3 TV.

Most recently Smith held the position of GVP Technical Operations, Care & Payment Services at Time Warner Cable. Prior to this role, Smith served as Time Warner Cable’s Residential SVP and CFO, where led the company’s Residential Business efforts. Smith spent 14 years at Time Warner Cable, beginning in 2002 as Vice President of Finance for National Division.
Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Smith spent seven years at AT&T, where he held financial positions from Analyst to Executive Director of Finance. Before launching his career in finance, Smith designed flood control facilities as a registered professional civil engineer. Smith holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Kansas.
Smith, who reports to Layer3 TV CEO Jeff Binder, will be based in the company’s Denver headquarters.
