BELLEVUE, Wash. – Dec. 19, 2013 – T-Mobile US, Inc. (NYSE:TMUS) today announced the appointment of Gary King as its new Chief Information Officer. King, a 30-year veteran in technology services for consumer brands, is known as an innovator and transformer. He will lead T-Mobile’s IT organization with a strong focus on enhancing the Un-carrier customer experience.

In more than three decades with large brands such as Avon, Barnes & Noble and Chico’s, King has been at the forefront of driving innovation in the industry and helped define the online retail space at Barnes and Noble by building many solutions from the ground up, prior to the development of e-commerce platforms.
For the past nine years, King was executive vice president and CIO of Chico’s FAS, Inc. where he led the transformation to align IT architecture and implement a shared services technology platform for the company’s numerous brands resulting in increased annual sales, growth of in-store technology and increased e-service options for customers
King will join T-Mobile effective December 31.
