Seattle, Wash. — Dec. 21, 2006

T-Mobile USA, Inc., and the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) are bringing together in Seattle next week some of the best high-school basketball teams from across the county to participate in the T-Mobile Invitational, the first-ever national tournament sponsored by the NFHS.

The T-Mobile Invitational, set for Dec. 27–28 at the University of Washington’s Bank of America Arena, will showcase the talents of eight of the nation’s top high-school teams determined, in part, through USA Today’s Super 25 high-school basketball rankings. The tournament will pit the skills of four boys’ and four girls’ teams in a two-day invitational tournament, with each team playing two games. Each game will be broadcast live by the VERSUS television network.

This landmark event demonstrates the shared belief of T-Mobile and the NFHS that interscholastic programs play a key role in enriching the lives of students. In addition to the two-day tournament, players on the eight teams, who serve as positive role models for youth in their own communities, will participate in a one-day community service project to rejuvenate a local Seattle after-school facility.

The field for the T-Mobile Invitational consists of these teams:
