Plus, customers can get access to their tax refund faster than a traditional paper check refund. It’s free, fast and a more secure – and more lucrative – way to get your tax refund this year. __When:__ The Mobile Money tax offer begins January 14 and runs through April 30, 2015. __Why:__ There are nearly 68 million “under-banked” people in the U.S. who could be paying upwards of $1,000* in annual fees just to access their own money. On average, Mobile Money saves each customer enough in check cashing fees to pay their monthly wireless bill for an entire year. __Background:__ T-Mobile introduced Mobile Money in January 2014 to free customers from traditional banking and check cashing fees. The T-Mobile Visa Prepaid Card works like a debit card, with a smartphone app to check your account balance. There are no credit checks and no minimum account balances if you are a T-Mobile customer. Additionally, there are no withdrawal fees at a network of more than 42,000 ATMs, no monthly maintenance fees, no reload fees in T-Mobile stores and no fees to use your T-Mobile Visa Prepaid Card.
