BELLEVUE, Wash. – Nov. 5, 2013 – After a busy summer growing its MetroPCS brand in new cities across the country, T-Mobile (NYSE: TMUS) is taking another big leap forward, expanding MetroPCS to 15 new markets – tripling its brand presence, ahead of schedule, to 45 markets just six months after the completion of the T-Mobile USA and MetroPCS combination.
Beginning Nov. 21, MetroPCS expects to roll out more stores in 15 new operating markets, bringing 4G LTE service to even more value-conscious consumers across the US. T-Mobile has also continued to make rapid progress on network migration, with more than 1.5 million MetroPCS customers already transitioned to the T-Mobile network. All markets now have access to T-Mobile’s advanced nationwide 4G LTE network and legacy markets have seen average 4G LTE data speeds up to 7X faster than previously experienced.
