Groundbreaking digital picture frame makes sharing mobile memories fun and easy

Bellevue, Wash. and New York, N.Y. — Nov. 18, 2008

T-Mobile USA, Inc., puts a fun twist on sharing spontaneous moments with friends and family by debuting the T-Mobile cameo™ — one of the first digital picture frames connected to a wireless carrier network. This holiday families can share fun spur-of-the-moment photos from holiday fun, with just the press of a button, to loved ones across the country. Available today, the T-Mobile cameo, manufactured by Parrot, is more than an ordinary digital picture frame — with its dedicated T-Mobile phone number and e-mail address, real-time photos can be sent directly to the frame.*

“The T-Mobile cameo is the gift that keeps on giving,” said Wendy Piñero-DePencier, vice president, brand marketing, T-Mobile USA. “Because receiving and displaying pictures on the frame can happen in an instant, families with the frame will always be on the lookout for new snapshots coming in. And for people sending pictures, the cameo lets you share impromptu moments in your day and keep important people close, no matter how near or far you are.”

Millions of Americans have camera phones, and consumers are increasingly using them to record memories. But unfortunately these images often stay trapped inside the phone instead of being shared in the moment with friends and family. When there is a photo of the latest addition to our holiday sweater collection, it is a moment that needs to be shared. The T-Mobile cameo works with any mobile phone that can take and send picture messages — regardless of network — helping people share the pictures they take while on-the-go.

The T-Mobile cameo can receive and display photos sent from a mobile phone via MMS (picture messaging) or e-mail, and after the first time you accept a photo from a sender, you have the option for additional photos sent by that person to be displayed virtually instantaneously.

The frame also features a USB connection and micro-SD card slot to make it simple to transfer and display photos housed on a PC or digital camera. Once plugged in, the cameo’s friendly interface makes it easy to use its advanced capabilities of sharing specific slideshows or fluid-rotation of the full photo album. The cameo automatically rotates and resizes all photos, providing the option to stand vertically or horizontally as well as hang on the wall.

T-Mobile customers can purchase the T-Mobile cameo beginning today at select T-Mobile retail stores. A re-occurring monthly service charge, added to a qualifying T-Mobile voice plan, provides unlimited messaging to the frame. For more information please visit https://www.t-mobile.com.
