Layer3 TV will broadcast the upcoming and highly-anticipated Bellator NYC: Sonnen vs Silva LIVE in 4K on Saturday, June 24 at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT. Every Layer3 TV subscriber, beginning today, has the ability to purchase the event live on Pay-Per-View in either 4K or HD. In addition, for a limited time after the event airs live on Pay-Per-View, Layer3 TV will also have the fight available on-demand in 4K.
Emanating from New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden, “The World’s Most Famous Arena,” Bellator’s biggest event ever, Bellator NYC: Sonnen vs. Silva is headlined by two of the sport’s popular fighters, Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva, in a grudge match that has been brewing for years.

This stacked card includes a heavyweight bought between Russian icon Fedor Emelianenko and hard-hitting Matt Mitrione, along with two championship bouts, including Douglas Lima (28-6) defending his 170-pound strap against Lorenz Larkin (18-5, 1 NC) and current lightweight champion Michael Chandler (16-3) putting his world title on the line against the undefeated Brent Primus (7-0).
This epic night of fights also features Bellator 180: Davis vs. Bader, headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between current champ Phil Davis and Ryan Bader, that will serve as a lead-in to the Pay-Per-View telecast. The action-packed card will air on Spike and CMT from 8pm-10pm ET/ 5pm-7pm PT.

4K (also known as UHD or Ultra HD) delivers a nearly cinematic viewing experience. Vibrant colors, crisper images, higher contrast, deeper hues and a more detailed picture overall are achieved by more pixels and thus more detail. Current HD is limited to 1,080 horizontal rows of pixels by 1,920 columns. A 4K resolution screen has 3,840 horizontal rows by 2,160 columns, totaling 8,294,400 pixels, four times the total number of pixels in an HD display.
Bellator 180 will be broadcast free in allHDTM on Spike beginning at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT. Bellator NYC: Sonnen vs. Silva fight starts at 10:00 pm ET/7pm PT.
