Magenta Gets Pink: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

September 30, 2014

Bellevue, Washington — October 1, 2014 — October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and T-Mobile (NYSE: TMUS) is teaming up with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to help raise awareness and show our support with a special offer on select accessories marked with a pink ribbon online.

According to the National Cancer Institute, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. However, when breast cancer is detected early, in the localized stage, the 5-year survival rate is 98%. For the last 25 years, October has been a month designated to Breast Cancer Awareness for the purpose of sharing information and promoting early detection.

Throughout the month of October, $1 from the purchase of qualifying accessories, marked with a pink ribbon online, is going directly to the NBCF to help with education, awareness and assistance for women in need. T-Mobile will donate up to $10,000 to the NBCF with your help. To sweeten the deal, T-Mobile is also offering 25% off select accessories online. Customers can choose from a selection of headphones, device cases and chargers among other popular items.

While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. Show you care be aware!
