T‑Mobile providing free Wi-Fi and device charging. ## __Latest News__ # __Update: August 21, 2026__ As recovery efforts continue in Indiana following destructive storms and prolonged power outages, our teams remain focused on helping keep customers connected while supporting first responders and impacted communities. ### Community Support Update T‑Mobile is sending additional Community Support trucks and trailers to Northwest Indiana to provide free Wi-Fi and device charging for anyone who needs help staying connected during recovery. T‑Mobile Community Support will be available at the following Indiana locations: - __T‑Mobile The Crossings at Hobart__. 1772 E. 80th Ave., Merrillville, IN 46410. Available beginning Friday, August 21 at 6 p.m. and open 24 hours a day until further notice. - __Costco in Merrillville, IN.__ 1310 E 79th Ave, Merrillville, IN 46410 . Available beginning Saturday, August 22 at 10am and available 24-hours until further notice. - __T‑Mobile Indianapolis & Ramblewood__. 10140 Indianapolis Blvd., Highland, IN 46322. Available daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. beginning Saturday, August 22, until further notice. - __American Red Cross Shelter at Hudson Campbell Center__. 455 Massachusetts Street, Gary IN 46402. Available starting on Friday August 21 at 8pm and available 24-hours until further notice. [Arrow Right Icon](https://www.t-mobile.com/news/_admin/uploads/2026/08/image-14.jpg) T‑Mobile Community Support in Northwest Indiana, 8/21/26 \### # __Update: August 20, 2026__ ## T‑Mobile Expands Community and First Responder Support Across Indiana as Severe Weather Recovery Continues As response and recovery efforts continue following severe weather across Indiana and the Midwest, T‑Mobile teams remain focused on helping keep customers, communities and first responders connected. ### Indiana Community Support Update T‑Mobile is sending additional Community Support trucks and trailers to Northwest Indiana as prolonged power outages continue to impact the area. They will provide free Wi-Fi and device charging for any community members who need help staying connected during recovery. During T‑Mobile’s initial Merrillville Community Support effort, teams provided free Wi-Fi, device charging and distributed more than 1,000 power packs to community members in need. Support remains available at the Connersville community location at 216 Vine Street, where T‑Mobile is providing free Wi-Fi and device charging in coordination with state emergency management partners. More details on timing and locations in Northwest Indiana will be shared as they are confirmed. ### Agency Support Update T‑Mobile is working with state and local emergency management partners to evaluate communications needs and support recovery efforts across impacted areas. For eligible first responders and public safety agencies that need help staying connected during recovery, T‑Mobile is making [T-Priority](https://www.t-mobile.com/t-priority) with [T-Satellite](https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/satellite-phone-service) available for 30 days at no charge on unlocked, compatible devices.
