Fast reliable strong signal/loose USB-C connection

The signal is strong, fast and reliable. The only problem is it is a dongle that doesn't always want to stay plugged into the USB-C port of your connected device or the dongle itself. When this happens you lose your Internet connection and power to the dongle so it takes 15 or so seconds to reboot when plugged back in. The service and signal are great - the form needs improvement. I am hoping if I can find a better USB-C cable it will fit a bit more snug otherwise this is a major design flaw on an otherwise really incredible device.

I have had 0 issues with my TCL Linkport, but the HIGHEST PLAN YOU CAN GET IS 10GB/MO!?!? GIVE ME A BREAK, I USE 10GB IN 10 SECONDS! Somehow T-Mobile Expects us to get by with 10GB/Month?! Oh yeah, YOU might ask me, BUT IT SAYS UNLIMITED DATA! This isn't entirely TRUE! AFTER 10GB ARE USED YOU GET EXTREMELY THROTTLED DOWN SERVICE! SO MUCH SO, IT WONT EVEN WORK TO LOAD HULU, MAX, OR ANY OF YOUR FAVORITE APPS! I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE COOL BUT IT'S SUCH A WASTE! The over all operation of the device itself is perfect! It's cool the way TCL Worked it out to Show up as an ETHERNET CONNECTION. IT WORKS GREAT FOR 10GB OF DATA OR IN MY CASE: (10 SECONDS OF DATA) THEN AFTER THAT YOUR SCREWED! I REALLY HOPE T-MOBILE FIXES THIS! AND GIVES US SOME REAL DATA PLANS LIKE 50 OR 100GB UNTIL THEN, You probably don't want to waste the money!

Very Fast Connection

I installed this on an a laptop. Dell Latitude e6420 with a Linux Operating System. It works great. That is what I like about it. What else I like is it self-installed some software and automatically connected to a wired connection on my laptop. The dongle works! Logging on to the T-Mobile special website allowed me to finish setup and create a new password. The only problem I had after install was that I could not get to any web site besides the T-Mobile Dongle Setup Website. I had to turn off the firewall and change setting in the GUI Network Configuration Setup. This is not the fault of the device or T-Mobile. Answers are out there on the Internet. But you do need an internet connection to find them. Now, my web surfing works great and very fast. I am very happy with my IK511 device.

Does not come with required SIM card

This was supposed to be an "upgrade" to an older hotspot device that is no longer supported. However, it does not come with the SIM card which is required to make it work. Customer service had no idea what it was doing and eventually landed on "Oh, well, we'll ship it to you and we'll charge you for shipping." Uh, no thank you. I already paid for shipping and YOU forgot to include it. This is not rocket science. You owe me a SIM card! THIS IS WHY YOU NEED BRICK AND MORTAR STORES!

worst device ever

I switched over from verizon think, hoping they would have better customer service. What a mistake. 5 lines. I had this TCL mailed to me. It didn't work. Bought it o the store twice. 7 hours in total. They mailed a second tcl. Neither worked. Customer service stated it was not a popular or very recommended product. Tmole doesn't make it or honor their contract. What a lie and a waste of time. I want to cancel the line and get full credit back. Customer service insisted on charging me, on my 5th call to them. Neither tcl device has EVER worked. 7 hours in their store, and even they could get the tcl to work. No usage has been recorded on my bill, confirmed by T-Mobile.

Does what it says . Efficient little device that looks gorgeous.its so small yet so powerful and reliable. Only thing that I wish it could do is connect to a Nintendo switch, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I am curbing my smartphone/web browser addiction so I leave my phone in my car. And carry a tablet to work, I removed the web browser on my android tablet and only use the tablet for Whatsapp and streaming apps like Max and Netflix. This hotspot/theathering device is exactly what I need.
