Fiber installation is simple and straightforward.
Preparing our fiber connection outside your home.
- On or before your installation date, public utilities will locate and mark underground utilities in your yard. If you have sprinklers or other underground lines, please flag or mark and alert your fiber installation team when on your property. This will ensure they’re avoided when our fiber cable is buried.
- On or before your installation date, our technicians will prepare your fiber connection by running fiber cabling from our network to the side of your home.
- You don’t need to be at home while any of this work takes place.
Important: For residents in rental properties, please confirm with building management if fiber internet installation is allowed at your residence.
Please note: Since we need to bury our fiber cable, some digging on your property may be required. We’ll replace disturbed sod and reseed any damaged lawn to restore your yard.
Completing fiber installation inside your home.

Placement of the fiber box on the outside of your home will be something the technician discusses with you before any work is done. We recommend the fiber box be placed on the appropriate side or back of your home, avoiding the front of your home unless you direct us otherwise.
The technician will need to secure the box to the outside wall of your home. From there, a feeder hole will be drilled to extend the fiber through your wall and into your home. The hole will be sealed using a bushing, caulk, and/or paintable silicone.
