Both phones have the same powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a durable IP48 rating, and an amazing camera setup powered by Samsung’s new AI ProVisual Engine for flawless zooming and more (although the Z Fold6 does have the extra Telephoto lens). Plus, you know those amazing Galaxy AI capabilities you’ve been hearing about? They come ready-to-go on both phones—along with some new features that unleash new levels of creativity. Here are just some of the things you’ll get on both devices, courtesy of Galaxy AI: - __Photo Assist__ delivers effortless editing with literally the touch of your finger. - __Circle to Search with Google__ on the massive interior screen. - __Interpreter__ lets you chat in another language while FlexMode displays your language on one screen and theirs on the other. - __Note Assist__ lets you jot down notes, shopping lists and more while Galaxy AI automatically organizes and summarizes it all. - __Portrait Studio__ turns your selfies into stylized works of art like cartoons, watercolors, etc. - __Instant Slo-mo__ adds drama to any video with a tap of your finger. - __Live Effect__ instantly creates depth, bringing any photo to life. ## __Z Fold6 vs. Z Flip6: The Differences__ Now for the stuff that sets these two phones apart. For one, the battery is bigger on the Z Fold6 (4,400mAh vs. 4,000mAh) and the Z Fold also offers an extra 1TB-storage option over the 256GB or 512GB options offered on the Z Flip. While both offer Dynamic AMOLED 2X internal screens with 2,600 nits peak brightness, that extends to the external screen on the Z Fold, whereas the Flip’s external screen is only a Super AMOLED with 1,600 nits peak brightness. But let’s talk about the big elephant in the room: Size! Your choice is probably going to come down to how immersive of an experience you want from a device. After all, the Z Fold6 is a bigger foldable device with a formidable outer screen (6.3 inches compared to the Flip’s 3.4 inches) and once unfolded, it transforms into what is basically a small tablet with a massive 7.6-inch display. It also has S-Pen compatibility, so you can literally write, draw, work and create on the go. The Z Flip, once unflipped, reveals a nice 6.7-inch display but it is not S-Pen compatible. Having that S-Pen on board also unlocks one Galaxy AI feature that’s not available on the Z Flip: Sketch to Image. This feature lets you sketch something from scratch on a blank canvas—or even draw directly on a photo—and Galaxy AI transforms it into an image. For example, you could draw a tree, a dog, a pond, anything you want, on one of your photos and AI naturally incorporates it into the picture! Obviously, portability will be a key factor.
