Compare 2024 razr vs. 2023 razr series Published: August 16, 2024 |4 min read Boasting an infusion of AI, a retro-hot color option, and lots of big new features, it’s no wonder razr lovers far and wide are flipping out over the latest foldables. We'll show you what’s changed, what hasn’t, and why they’re all the talk. #### Jump to a Section^ 1. [razr+](https://www.t-mobile.com#1) 2. Compare 2024 razr vs. 2023 razr series" on LinkedIn The latest generation of Motorola’s oh-so-popular flip-style foldables are finally here! Once again, they feature two options: the razr and the razr+. This year, advanced artificial intelligence (AI) comes along for the ride, as does the biggest external screen ever and, best of all, no big price increases over last year’s models! Let’s start with a quick snapshot and summary of both devices’ amazing features, then go from there. ## [__razr+__](https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone/motorola-razr-plus-2024) - Massive 4.0" external display, largest on any flip phone - 6.9-inch pOLED display with HDR10+ (up to 165Hz refresh rate) - Moto ai technology - Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor - Cameras: 50MP Main, 50MP w/2X optical zoom, 32MP Selfie - 12GB of RAM, 256GB of memory - 4,000mAh battery w/45-watt charging (15-watt wireless charging) - IPX8 rating - Vegan leather and suede design - Colors: Hot Pink, Midnight Blue, Spring Green, and Peach Fuzz - Price: $999.99 ### __razr+ breakdown__ The latest razr+ for 2024 is impressive on several levels. First, the flip phone’s external screen is the biggest, most intelligent display on a flip phone at a whopping 4 inches! When compared to the previous razr+, which was 3.6 inches, that’s more than a 10% boost in size! While the internal screen holds steady at 6.9 inches, the battery goes from 3,800mAh to 4,000mAh, and the processor gets an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 for faster speeds and uploads. Making a big comeback (exclusively on the upgraded razr+ model) is the oh-so-cool Hot Pink color option that made a big splash when the razr phones first debuted. Another biggie? Motorola and Google have teamed up to make Moto ai technology (which will roll out throughout the year) a nice addition to latest razr+ model. While AI is passively infused everywhere to deliver improvements, like in the camera, battery, display, texting, and more, there are two big features that will really stand out: - __Magic Canvas__. This AI-powered feature brings your imagination to life by turning your ideas into pictures! Using text prompts, you can turn descriptions into graphics that you can then use for messages, social media, wallpapers, and more. - __Style Sync__. Match your personal style to your phone by creating wallpapers and themes that coordinate with your outfits. Just snap a picture, pick one of the suggested patterns, and you’re done! Those two AI-powered features will also be available on entry-level razr model, which we’ll take a look at now. But there still some big differences between the razr+ vs. razr. Let’s start with a snapshot of the features. ## [__razr__](https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone/motorola-razr-2024) - Nice 3.6" external screen (always-on) - 6.9-inch pOLED display with HDR10+ (up to 120Hz refresh rate) - MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor - Cameras: 50MP Main, 13MP Ultra Wide, 32MP Selfie - 8GB of RAM, 256GB of memory - 4,200mAh battery w/30-watt charging (15-watt wireless charging) - IPX8 rating - Vegan leather and suede design - Colors: Koala Grey, Beach Sand, and Spritz Orange - Price: $552.00 The latest razr for 2024 gets a boost over the 2023 model, boasting a much bigger and better external display at 3.6 inches compared to the now-seemingly paltry 1.5 inches offered on its predecessor. That’s 2.4 times bigger! However, when compared to the newest razr+ phone, there are some big differences. While the 3.6-inch external screen on the razr is a nice size, it’s much smaller than the massive 4-inch screen on the razr+, and the processor is not as powerful. You’ll also notice a difference in the camera setups, with the razr lacking the 2X Telephoto option offered on the razr+. Also, the AI-powered Photo Enhancement Engine is exclusive to the razr+ camera, although if you’re not a professional photographer or influencer, it may not be that big of a deal. But if you had your mind set on the Hot Pink color, you’ll need to choose the razr+, since you can’t get it on the entry-level razr phone. It’s worth noting the battery on this phone is bigger than that of the razr+ and the price is significantly smaller, making it a great option for those who want a long-lasting premium foldable—with AI and most of the other bells and whistles—but on a budget. Once you choose the best phone for you, be sure to check out the latest offers so you can find a great deal!
