Apple lovers far and wide wait with bated breath for the company to unveil its latest devices—and Apple Watch Series 10 is no different! So, now that it’s here, is it time to upgrade from your current smartwatch to the newest state-of-the-art device? Let’s take a closer look at everything that Series 10 smartwatch has to offer.

When it comes to Series 10, Apple Watch is not holding back. It has the biggest display ever on any Apple Watch. The thinnest design ever on any Apple Watch. The first ever wide-angle OLED display on any Apple Watch. The first ever Sleep Apnea function on any Apple Watch. And, last but not least, a first-of-its-kind, high-gloss Jet Black aluminum design on Apple Watch. If that hasn’t piqued your interest, let’s dive in and take a closer look!

Groundbreaking new features

  • A new look and feel. Powered by the S10 SiP chip and the watchOS 11 operating system, this watch is as powerful as it is stunning. Boasting a wide-angle OLED display, this latest Apple Watch has the largest screen area of any Apple Watch and it’s up-to 40 percent brighter when viewed from an angle. Despite its big, bright and bold display, Apple has managed to make this smartwatch thinner than ever at 9.7mm—that’s about 10% thinner than Series 9. They pulled this off by completely re-engineering it, including the SiP, Digital Crown, speaker, front crystal, and antenna. For the first time, you can get a high-gloss Jet Black aluminum color, as well as Rose Gold and Silver. Or choose from three polished titanium finishes in Natural, Gold or Slate.
  • Sleep apnea feature. Using a new metric called Breathing Disturbances, the watch will analyze your sleep every 30 days for sleep apnea, a potentially dangerous condition that causes some people to stop breathing while they’re sleeping. Experts say 30 million people in the US have sleep apnea, but only 6 million are diagnosed1. (This feature will also be coming to the Series 9 and Ultra 2.)
  • Water-sports friendly. For those who love surfing, snorkeling, diving or other water sports, you’ll appreciate the new depth gauge, water temperature sensor and Tides app. The water temperature sensor measures the temperature of the water when it’s submerged, while the depth gauge measures down to six meters beneath the water’s surface. The built-in Depth app displays the time, depth, water temperature, duration under water, and maximum depth. The Tides app, meanwhile, gives you seven days tidal information for coastlines and surf spots everywhere. You can also get the Oceanic+ app for Series 10 now, with new snorkeling features. Best of all, Apple Watch Series 10 boasts 50-meter water resistance.
  • New audio features. Forget your AirPods? You can now play audio back through the built-in speaker from Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, third-party apps and more. As for phone calls, a new voice isolation neural network zaps background noise during calls, even in noisy or windy conditions.

Now that you know the big changes, here’s a quick snapshot of all the features you can expect on Apple Watch Series 10.
