Can I receive calls from another country while in the US? How much do they cost?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Incoming international calls are treated the same as any other incoming call, they are included in your plan.

Do I need a special phone to call international numbers from the US?

Accepted Answer

No. Your T-Mobile phone will allow you to make calls from the US to any country, but remember that per-minute calling rates can vary by country. All you need to do is dial "+" followed by the country code, city code, and local number. If you plan to make frequent international calls, we would recommend you add our Stateside International Talk service, which offers unlimited international calling to 70+ countries and destinations for $15 per month. If you're on our Magenta or Simple Choice North America rate plan (launched on 7/15/15), the $15 Stateside International Talk service will work from Canada and Mexico, just like in the US.

Is there a service for international texting only, that doesn't include calling?

International texting from the US, Mexico, and Canada is included in our Magenta and Simple Choice North America plans. And, unlimited texting in 215+ Simple Global countries and destinations is included in Magenta and Simple Choice plans. Can I get Stateside International Talk if I have a prepaid plan?

Yes, you can add Stateside International Talk service to Prepaid plan options costing $40/month or higher. The $15 Stateside International Talk service gets unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling to 36+ countries, plus unlimited landline calling to 70+ countries and discounted rates to virtually the rest of the world. If you’re on our Magenta or Simple Choice North America rate plans (launched on 7/15/15), the $15 Stateside International Talk service will work from Canada and Mexico, just like in the US.

Can I make international calls with No Credit Check plans outside of the unlimited countries included with Stateside services?

Accepted Answer

No, Simple Choice No Credit Check plans will only be able to place international calls to countries eligible for unlimited calling service. This means to landlines in 70+ countries and mobile-to-mobile in 36+ countries. If you're on Magenta or Simple Choice North America, which launched on 7/15/15, the $15 Stateside International Talk service will also work from Mexico and Canada, with the exception of calls to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Uruguay, and Venezuela, which are restricted while traveling in Canada or Mexico. If you have the 10GB No Credit Check plan, you can also add Stateside International Talk (SIT) for $15 per month to your plan and get discounted calling rates to landlines in 70+ countries, and unlimited calling and texting to mobile numbers in 30+ countries. Also, you can get unlimited calling to and from Mexico and Canada plus up to 5GB of 4G LTE of data for $10/month.

Can I place calls to satellite phones?

Yes, T-Mobile offers service to place phone calls from your mobile device to satellite phones. Just type "satellite network" in the country look-up tool above to see satellite destinations and rates that are available.

Can I use a prepaid international calling card to call from the US to another country?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can also use a prepaid calling card to call another country using your T-Mobile phone

Instructions:

Follow all calling-card instructions (wherever posted).
Do NOT press "send" after dialing the non-US phone number. Pressing send may result in you incurring both calling-card charges and T-Mobile international long-distance (and potentially international roaming) charges in connection with the same call.
In certain circumstances, you may be required to dial "+'' immediately before the non-US phone number in order to place your call.

What type of international features can I add to the T-Mobile No Credit Check plan?

Accepted Answer

You can add T-Mobile ONE Plus to only T-Mobile ONE No Credit Check plans. No Credit Check plans already include 200MB of domestic roaming. The T-Mobile ONE No Credit Check plan, and 10GB No Credit Check plan do not include the 215+ countries and destinations or any international roaming. Customers with No Credit Check plans can call countries that do not result in a charge, like Canada and Mexico (with exception of 10GB No credit check plan available for $10/month), but these plans cannot incur additional charges on their bill, so calling to countries that incur charges is unavailable. You can also add Stateside International Talk (SIT) for $15/month to your plan and get discounted calling rates to landlines in 70+ countries, and unlimited calling and texting to mobile numbers in 30+ countries.
