What is Extended Range LTE?
Our Extended Range LTE signal goes 2x further and is 4x better in buildings than before. To ensure you can take advantage of the enhanced signal strength and coverage, you need a capable device.
What does my device have to do with coverage?
Not all devices have the same capabilities. Older devices weren't built to take advantage of the network we have today. For example, if you don't have a device with Band 12 (700 MHz), you won't be able to take advantage of T-Mobile's

What solutions does T-Mobile offer for in-home coverage issues?
We have four solutions available for residential coverage improvements. Wi-Fi Calling
is self-service, and can be enabled and disabled on your phone directly. For the other solutions, Wi-Fi CellSpot Router, 4G LTE CellSpot®, and 4G LTE Signal Booster, customers should call T-Mobile Care
or visit a T-Mobile
store to discover which solution is best for you.
What is Wi-Fi calling?
Wi-Fi
Calling gives you the ability to make and receive calls and SMS/MMS over Wi-Fi
, just as if you were on the network. This is particularly helpful in areas where you have weak or no cellular signal (basements, rural areas, etc.), but have a strong and reliable Wi-Fi
signal. Wi-Fi Calling
also enables you to call back to the U.S. from anywhere in the world for free! Unlike our competition, all of the T-Mobile
handsets in retail have Wi-Fi Calling
built into the handset.
