GREATEST GROWTH IN COMPANY HISTORY

2021 was both a pivotal and foundational year for T-Mobile. It was a year with bold goals for ourselves in terms of merger integration, customer growth, profitability, and network leadership. Not only did we exceed our own business targets, but we did so while delivering the best value and best experiences on America’s largest and fastest nationwide 5G network at a time when our services are more central to customers’ daily lives than ever before. The relentless pursuit of our vision to be #1 in customer choice and #1 in customers’ hearts enabled us to achieve new heights last year.

In 2021 we experienced the greatest growth momentum in our history, delivering record customer growth and record service revenue growth—all because of the important investments we made in under-served markets, enterprise and government, and in our network leadership.

Our historic network build has been a key driver of our growth. In 2021, we received numerous industry accolades recognizing our leadership in 5G, with the largest, fastest, and most widely available network in the nation. We continued to deliver products and services that customers value, driving industry innovation and meeting customer needs with offerings like High-Speed Internet and a variety of solutions from T-Mobile for Business.

DOING BETTER BY DOING GOOD

We not only exceeded our bold business and financial goals in 2021, but also made good on our commitments to use our new network, scale, and resources for good by building a more connected, equitable, and sustainable future for all of our stakeholders. Our signature effort in this area is Project 10Million, which by the end of 2021 had brought reliable connectivity to nearly 1,500 school districts, and in total we’ve connected approximately 3.2 million students nationwide. It is one of our initiatives that is helping bridge the digital divide and making an impact in the communities where our customers and employees live, work, and play.

Our unique ability to simultaneously offer the fastest and largest 5G network and the best value from the best team in wireless is being recognized in the market, and it’s paying off. We continue to be the leader in 5G while increasing the gap between the Un-carrier and our competitors in our traditional areas of strength as well as in big, under-penetrated segments. We see strong growth continuing in 2022 as the combination of our relentless love for our customers and the delivery of the products and services they need resonates more deeply in the marketplace. T-Mobile is better positioned than ever to deliver on our mission to be the best in the world at connecting customers to their world.
