23 TopicsHow is it possible that Texting via all forms of data isnt working?
Text messages are not working for me (I am receiving sporadically but they are not sending according to multiple Messaging Apps) I'm not a network pro, but if I have WiFi working, Mobile Data working (I can post this question, for instance using my fold), how the heck are texts not finding a way to send? Tried SMS, WiFi calling on/off, RCS on/off, mobile data on/off, and all permutations. Even restarted the device. Duration thus far: 2 hours. Is there an authentication glitch on the TMobile Network? I live in the middle of a big city, I thought 5G meant that there was some tiny amount of robustness and redundancy. Is there some other dependency I do not know about that would mean out going texts fail despite full internet access? The fact this can happen with internet working seems unacceptable especially given the premium prices. VM is also unavailable to access. There's shockingly little live outtage communication on this website or via support, which is unhelpful. Though it is easy to see the problem affects many others. If I were an enterprise customer something like this would seriously damage my faith in the network stability and redundancy best practices. If there is some other dependency that often lack a backup (such as authentication) then there should have been a communication on the front page of the site detailing the issue and expected time to fix. These should be considered some of the most basic, barely adequate, business practices, in my opinion, and doubly so for a utility company.325Views3likes4Commentssome text messages are not immediately received and delayed by hours up to days
There appears to be a network store and forward message transmission delay occurring frequently with text messages. Several of my contacts I frequently text with will send me text messages that will not hit my inbox for many hours up to days later. It’s like they’re caught in some buffer that stores them and sends them all at once as several blocks appear in a second, time date stamped several hours to days earlier. My physical location doesn't change so I doubt the problem is on my end however my phone is of the type you cant take the battery out of so who knows what’s running on it. This issue never happened with my services before T-Mobile to where I have ever noticed it like I do now.4.1KViews3likes6CommentsSame problem "text not sent" as other Motorola user - please help
I frequently get the following error message when sending text message: “Not sent. Tap to try Again”. This happens WAY TOO often and is super frustrating. I have tried to restart my phone and power cycle with no resolution. Sometimes it can take a couple of hours and multiple “taps” to finally get the message to send. I have a Motorola Edge 2022. Any help would be greatly appreciated!112Views1like1CommentT-Mobile SMS/MMS Spam Filter
Let me start off by introducing myself. I’m a govt worker who has to forward monitoring system events from his email to phone SMS/MMS for easily heard and read notifications. I’ve been on ATT for the past 13 years where this has worked fine, but just changed to T-Mobile this past week where now I am receiving mostly undeliverable kickbacks to my mailbox, where it works sometimes but more than often not. I called T-Mobile and they stated that they are decommissioning the @tmomail.net gateway, but has not introduced a new feature to allow mail to SMS to bypass or take the place of the original technology. I googled and found T Mobile has been saying this to customers since 2022, but yet the feature still exists. It almost seems like a go-to response on their script when they can’t find an answer or fix for the person’s complaint. While on the phone with T-Mobile, the agent informed me they were not seeing drops on the spam filter and this is likely not spam related. However, after digging through the fine font from Microsoft Office365, it does indeed look spam filter related. The email is reaching their TMO server and then being rejected by Cloudfilter. Any suggestions for how I can request for this to be addressed? Sometimes I might need to receive just one notification and other times I might have a dozen all come in at the same time. All from Office365 (Microsoft) domain. I'm in MICHIGAN. Has anyone else been having problems with T-mobile Network and unable to receive and making phone calls and text messages? Some calls and texts will go through, but then others will fail. I've had several people say they called, but it went directly to voice-mail. I've also had people say they left messages on my voice-mail, but I haven't received them yet. Who should I contact to get fixed? I have an Elderly Mom and it's important for her to be able to contact me. Also for any other emergencies. Thank you for your help! 🫂412Views1like7CommentsPeople Outside of T-Mobile Not Receiving My Texts
Hi everyone! As of late Wednesday, it appears that people who do not have T-Mobile aren’t receiving my text messages. To me, they look like they’re sent, however, both Verizon and AT&T customers aren’t receiving anything on their end. I spoke to T-Mobile via Facebook and I’ve done the following: Cleared cache on phone Cleared cache and data on messages app Made sure all apps (Google Play and Galaxy Store) were up-to-date Made sure phone was up-to-date Reset network settings Reset all settings Deleted all messages in my phone (and emptied the trash) Turned on and off airplane mode Turned on and off most connections/network type settings Restarted my phone way too many times They told me I can come in-person today and get a new SIM card. I’m hoping that fixes it, however, I’m wondering if anyone else has had the same problem or has ideas? T-Mobile says my account looks fine and everything on their end looks fine. My phone is a Galaxy S21 and is only 1.5 years old, and I’ve been with T-Mobile for years.11KViews1like50Commentstexts not received from other carriers
Hi! I have been a T-Mobile customer for approximately 2 weeks. When I first transferred my service from Verizon, I was receiving all of my text messages. Two days after switching, all texts stopped from people outside of T-Mobile. I can send text messages and people receive them but I cannot receive text messages from anybody with another carrier, and I cannot receive MMS messages from T-Mobile users. When I contacted customer service, they directed my issue to engineering who responded that I needed a new sim card. I went into the T-Mobile store, got a new SIM, which did not make my text messages push through. So, they thought that it was a device issue and I purchased a new Pixel 4A. The issue still is not fixed. When I re-contacted customer service, they put another request for the engineers. My text messages pushed through approximately 3 to 4 days later. Then I stopped receiving messages again and it was pushed back to engineering. A few days after that all of my text messages came through and I had messaging for about 5 days. Yet again, my messages stopped. Engineers' response was that I need a new phone. I'm not quite sure how that would fix this issue because I already did get a new phone with a new SIM card and that didn't fix the messaging issue. Does anybody have an idea?19KViews1like27CommentsMissing texts on multiple lines - no record in usage report
My wife and I both have Pixel 7 Pro phones with the latest updates installed. We are both in a group text with 2 other people who both have iPhones on Verizon. We’ll call them Bob and Sue for context. Two nights ago, she received a message in the group text from Sue and I did not. Looking at usage reports on T-Mobile it shows a record on my wife's account of the message from Sue’s number but looking at my account it does not. Today, I received a message in the group text from Sue and she did not. Again, looking at usage reports I see the message on my account but not on her account. Based on this, I am assuming that this is NOT something with our phones as T-Mobile systems don’t even show these messages in the usage reports. I’d contact support but I’m not sure it would get anywhere and likely they would pass the blame to the other carrier or say it was our phone or the senders phone. Thoughts? Anyone have this happen?558Views1like1Comment
