My T-Mobile Home Internet is working, but I want to make a change. I use a PC and Ethernet connection. Whenever I go into the admin menu, I get the new setup menu and not the normal admin one with all the settings. I try to go through the setup, but it gets stuck at the point when I have to scan the QR on the device, it keeps failing. Then it wants me to do the Ethernet setup using the app on the phone. That doesn’t even make sense, how can I connect my phone to an Ethernet port and how can I use the app on my PC when they don’t make an app for the PC. (no one on their phone tech line even understands the basics of networking or telephony.) Once again, T-Mobile has be stuck. Steve180Views0likes0CommentsT-Mobile internet remote password Change
Setup T-mobile internet on my vacation home. When setting up I changed the password and connect my Nest Thermostat and ring doorbell to the T-Mobile internet. Things were great until the Hurricane. System went offline and required a reset. The reset worked, but reset the password back the the admin password and now my Nest and Ring cant connect. I tried connecting to the modem via the IP address, but multiple attempts do not connect. T-Mobile supports states that are not allowed to change password on my behalf. Do I have any options to change this password remotely. I am currently out of the state- HELP !120Views0likes0CommentsHow Can I Setup My T-Mobile ID for My Home Internet Account...???
I signed up for the Home Internet and got an email that I was activated on 04/01/21... A few days later the cylinder device arrived and connected to the internet easily. Nevertheless, I cannot register to get a T-Mobile ID for this account. I cannot login online OR use the T-Mobile app because it keeps stating they don't recognize my email. I've had two lengthy phone calls with support and visited a store (whom in turn called support)... As of now I STILL can't create a T-Mobile ID to manage my account. (This account was created using my Pre-paid phone account...) At first I thought it didn't matter that I couldn't access my account since the service is working so-so... But at the end of the first month my service was cut off as the person who initiated my account did not ensure that I was signed up for autopay. I never received an email about my bill. When I called about my service they wanted me to pay the $65 + restoration fee + plus a fee for making a payment manually over the phone...?!? It would have all been over $90... It should have only been $60... After admitting their fault they charged me $67 to continue with the service... I'm told I'm signed up for autopay, but we will see… I STILL CAN'T REGISTER FOR A T-MOBILE ID so that I can manage my account. I've been working with the store and they're having trouble getting the techs to resolve this problem as of... 06/02/2021... Internet quality is lacking... The speed is inconsistent; 5mbs - 25mbs... I can't visit some websites using the Home Internet device yet have no problems visiting the same sites/pages using my T-Mobile prepaid phone account as a hotspot. Reviewers should look into the issue as to why this ISP (T-Mobile Home Internet) cannot be used to access some websites. There are quite a few pages I cannot access, but yet I can access them using T-Mobile's prepaid phone account as a hotspot.18KViews7likes55CommentsNeed help connecting Eero mesh with T-mobile internet
I've found many threads that discuss this, but none for those of us who are not tech savvy. 😉 Could anyone please IN PLAIN ENGLISH explain step by step how to set up T-mobile internet (trash can) with an eero mesh 2nd generation system? (Currently, two PCs in the home are connected via ethernet cords to the modem because our current wifi is terrible) I will be forever grateful for help! 🙏 I've spent hours researching this and am still lost...399Views0likes0CommentsGateway home i-net
T-Mobile Gateway setup, contrary to the instructions, is so complicated, scattered, and full of upsells interrupting setup. First, their official video for setup doesn't sync with the feedback you get on your cellphone. How come this unwelcome “Digitizze” pops up during registration and you can’t get past it? Are you TRYING to lose market share? Did you forget that 99% of consumers don’t like doing stuf like this? How can such intelligent people be so stupid?200Views0likes3CommentsInternet Config
I am very skilled in setting up routers… BUT… I have a Linksys router that is configured to use a “Static IP” in the internet settings, and setting it to internet ipv4 address of 192.168.12.2 with the default gateway 192.168.12.1, and DNS of 192.168.12.1,7.7.7.7, and 8.8.8.8. I can surf, and the Linksys sees that there is a internet connection, but the Linksys also has a Yellow connection issue light on the router. What is everyones setup for using a external router so I can compare… I have also disabled all Wifi on the TMobile router because it is garbage. I can surf without an issue, but once and a while I have some wacky internet.272Views0likes2Comments
