Travel to the U.A.E. and Amsterdam
T-mobile community challenged here. I will be traveling and don’t want to get stuck with outrageous fees. Reading blogs and seeing that some folks have to get a new sim card, but if I am reading the T-mobile site correctly I should be good to go? I am on the Magenta plan and T-mobile site says that the network AND my note20 plus is compatible. How do I actually confirm this? Any insights? Thankings!I just flew into Israel and got a text saying "Welcome abroad! Your T-Mobile plan gives you unlimited data at up to 2G speeds and texts at no extra cost! Calls at 25 cents/minute"...
I'm sure I'll be charged the 25 cents per minute if I make an outgoing call, but what if someone calls me and I answer it? Will I still be charged or is that free?
Active duty deployment options?
My brother is often deployed and recently his roaming was blocked because of the usage while on deployment. This violated the roaming terms and conditions of tmobile. It says “this benefit is meant for those traveling abroad, not living abroad for extended periods of time”. Is there any specific plan or add on I can get for his line during deployment without violating the roaming terms? Is there any exemption for International roaming for military overseas?
Turn off voice calls only internationally
Is there a way to turn off only the voice calls both inbound and outbound when roaming in Italy? I would still like to have the ability to receive and send text as well as use data. I looked at the different options on the T-Mobile website and there is not one to turn off voice calls only. If this is not possible, can I setup call forwarding to another phone and not get charged for any inbound calls?
avoid in-coming calls when abroad
Hi everyone, I read in a previous post that activating call forwarding when traveling abroad is the best way to avoid receiving calls and being charged for them. I have three questions: 1) if am abroad and i activate call forwarding and forward the calls to another T-Mobile phone number (for example a relative) in the US will I incur any fees? I have an iPhone which has a phone setting to set up call forwarding. Does it make a difference to set up the call forwarding through the iPhone setting vs using **21* code? If there is a difference between the two methods can you explain what the difference is?
