When I first got my gateway it worked ok 6 months now and it sucks so bad I can't play games and half the time my wife can't even watch her shows without it buffing I think TMobile needs to stop making new stuff and fix theyre crappy service when I get another service in dropping this crap23KViews30likes46CommentsNintendo Switch w/NOK 5G21 Gateway
I was thrilled to change from my previous provider to T-Mobile’s internet. The speed is great. The service has been super reliable. Where I’m having trouble is on my Nintendo Switch. I can’t getvisitors on my island on Animal Crossing. I can’t race against friends on Mario Kart. Virtually all online gaming functionality is useless. And I’m frustrated I haven’t been able to find a solution. I called support and they basically said there’s nothing they can do. Has anyone found any solution to this?!17KViews6likes29CommentsConsistent disconnects and low speeds
Lately, I’ve noticed my connection dropping every few minutes for a couple seconds, just enough to disrupt anything that requires stable connection. On top of that, my speeds have gone down to 10-20 down and 30 up, (unless I’m talking to support, then they’re miraculously 100+ both ways🙄 (that’s a whole other conspiracy)) Support is claiming work on the tower, which is a possibility I suppose. Upon digging deeper into it though,I figured out which tower I’m connected to via CGI info, and it’s literally the one in my backyard, 300 yards away. Now, I can see that tower from my desk, and there has not been any work there for months now. The driveway leading to it has a huge tree down across is. So unless it’s remote updates, I don’t think there’s been work to it. Even more baffling, is that this tower, according to Cellmapper, doesn’t even cover my home, it’s apparently pointed the opposite direction. The tower that best covers me is 1.7 miles away. Advanced metrics reads as follows. Unfortunately, I never checked this info when times were good to compare it to now. The two that are currently “Good” do convert to “Excellent” a lot of the time. The “Poor” SINR is very rarely above a 4, no matter where it is in my house, and then other stats drop down in quality anyway.I’ve tried moving it around, and this is about as good as it gets location wise. Tool in the app confirms it as well. RSSI LTE - Excellent (-69) RSRQ 5G - Good (-12) LTE - Excellent (-7) RSRP 5G - Good (-84) LTE - Excellent (-78) SINR 5G - Poor (2) LTE - Excellent (21) Band 5G - n41 LTE - b66 Anyone have any idea what’s going on?100Views0likes1CommentProblem with T-Mobile Home Internet app
I've got an Arcadyan KVD21 5G Gateway from T-Mobile and used the T-Mobile Internet app to configure it. Everything is working, but when I try and launch the app on my phone, it flickers or a millisecond on the gateway home page, then goes to the initial screen (the one with the magenta “T”) and I just get a spinning gear icon for as long as i leave it there. I try killing the app, but when it's relaunched, the same thing happens. I deleted the app and then reinstalled it from the App Store, but the problem still persists. The weird thing is that sometimes, like first thing in the morning, it connects with no problem. Go figure! Is anyone else having this problem, and if so, have you solved it? As always, thanks in advance for any insight.4.8KViews0likes22CommentsLoss of internet on home WI-FI and cell phones daily
We have been with T-Mobile for about 4 months now. When the internet works, it is great. Great speed. However, about a month ago, our internet on Wi-Fi and cell phones started goingdown between 8:15 and 9:30 every morning. When this happens, we have no internet coverage on any of our devices, including hotspots. We are right off the interstate in direct line of the tower. Our signal has always been between weak and good. What would cause this to start happening every day? Is there anything I can do? I had to get a backup hotspot device from Verizon to cover me while I work from home. Not as good speed wise, but much more reliable. Any suggestions????56Views1like0CommentsWhy is my gateway broadcasting 6 of 2.4GHz networks, which I have not ever set up?
Hi, I have Arcadian gateway which I got a month ago, and have setup one network with my username and password different from the one provided on the device. I have noticed on multiple occasions that my iPad shows 6networks broadcasting, from my gateway. These networks have the same SSID as the default one, provided with the gateway with some extra (-2.4GHz_1).It looks like this: TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_1 TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_2 TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_3 TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_4 TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_5 TMOBILE-7xxA-2.4GHz_6 They are all password protected as I see a lock icon but I haven’t tried to connect to any of these. After a minute of showing up they disappear. This does not happen everyday, onlyoccasionally. In the T-Mobile app, I only see the network which I have setup with custom name and password. Is my gateway hacked? Why is this happening and what should I do to get rid of this issue? Thanks72Views0likes0CommentsI was skeptical, but a fan does seem to help
I was skeptical a fan would help anything but now I'm not. I installed an 80mm one and it does seem to increase speeds once the lower temperature stabilizes (a few hours after install). I only have the fan on low andI have it plugged in to the USB-C on the back of the gateway with a USB-C to USB adapter. Note, the 80mm fan size seems to work best as the air goes in to the gateway better versus 120mm, where some air goes outside of it. I got this fan, only about $11: https://amzn.to/3mFqaKo6.3KViews6likes27CommentsGateway home i-net
T-Mobile Gateway setup, contrary to the instructions, is so complicated, scattered, and full of upsellsinterrupting setup. First, their official video for setup doesn't sync with the feedback you get on your cellphone. How come this unwelcome “Digitizze” pops up during registrationand you can’t get past it? Are you TRYING to lose market share? Did you forget that 99% of consumers don’t like doing stuf like this? How can such intelligent people be so stupid?130Views0likes3Comments
