coverage
76 Topicsdata is active, but slow as all hell
I use an android phone and For the past 2 to 3 days, my data has been so slow that I can't access downloads on certain apps. I don't what it is, but its getting annoying. Usually, I would just chalk it up to t mobile tower troubles. However, I've had a history of my data coverage being so trashy. And it's because of one thing that still don't freaking understand and that: the carrier hub application. Someone explain to what the hell it does and why does my service always get worse when is have to mess for an update or permission or whatever. I've been dealing with this carrier hub bull crap for a few good years using t mobile and it still gets on my nerves.65Views0likes0CommentsText messages not sending and being received
Samsung Galaxy s24 Ultra here. Yesterday I started to have a problem sending and receiving text messages. I would send messages and they would go through hours later, same for receiving. This is happening with a known iPhone user and a known Android user. Any idea what the issue is?81Views0likes0CommentsUpdated Network Software
I contacted T-Force for an order issue and at the end of the chat the representative stated that they had “refreshed and updated the network software on their end.” Does this actually mean anything or is this just fluff? I noticed that afterwards I wasn’t getting 5GUC in areas that I was before which could be a coincidence but I thought the timing was weird.Solved238Views0likes2CommentsI only get 2 or one bar of service
I only get 2 bars of service, and 2 bars is the highest it’ll go. I paid for another month not too long ago, and it still doesn’t go past 2. I’ve tried everything from restarting to re-inserting the sim card again. I really don’t want to think I paid $50 just for 1-2 bars. Is there anything else I can do to get my data to reach 4 bars again? My phone model is theiPhone XS Max.7.7KViews1like6CommentsIs it possible that T-Mobile is finally getting more accurate on converage maps ?
Is it me …or does it appear like T-Mobile only updates their coverage maps with real dead zones when they have a mandate to …fix it ? For ~5 years, (TBH, since the old ‘verified coverage, as well as the ‘green’ maps), T-Mobile has stated - with the full fury of T-Mobile’s executive response team, office of executive management and people like John Saw/Neville Ray that ‘Our engineers have verified 5G and LTE extended range coverage’ at specific addresses, while showing it on their coverage maps and …stating that there are “No updates or enhancements” planned. Now, after more than a½of a decade and obtaining this in writing …T-Mobile now shows all of these areas as …“No Service”. The ‘Happy Hill’, ‘West Village’, and ‘Marine Terrace’ areas have not had service in +10 years. I’m not sure to be happy that T-Mobile is finally getting accurrate (which they have claimed they always have been) or that I’ve been gaslit for quite some time by their executives. I’m sure that there will be ‘some’ form of excuse.80Views0likes2CommentsT Home Internet Bad to Worse, now Gone
I've been with TMobile 15 years. Got Home Internet as soon as available.in my area. Not rural, but not urban here either. CSupport told me I can possibly connect to 4 towers with 5g from my location. My speeds have never been over 30 MPs, but ditching my cable company was huge, so I've suffered along. Speeds went down to 10 MPs last week and a ticket was filed. Back story… 3 months ago I had connection issues. But WOW! I was connecting to N41 band 5g and speeds over 100 MPs! Thus is it I thought. Well that connection was never stable. Dropped out every 15 min. Back to TM CService and got stability, @ 20-30 MPs back in the N71 band. It's coming...it's coming I kept telling myself. OK back to last week… CS explaining my slow speeds… this AM I had speeds below 6mps. I work from home. Can't connect to company servers… 2 hr. With CS. Just got a call back. T-M is no longer going to support Home Internet on 5g with thetowers I have been connecting to for the last 6 months! No notice no nothing. An entire work day plus time to get a new provider. My boss is “thrilled". Unacceptable service from the company I've reccomended to friend for years BECAUSE of customer service. It's been fun TMobile… hope you get your act togther. I'll be hoping I don't get the same person at the cable company I flameswhen I cancelled….407Views0likes5CommentsI need T-mobile to fix my location issue
I’ve asked this question several times on here and I always get answers but I don’t understand the issue or how to resolve it. It is creating problems when I try and access a website where I can earn points, such as the one in this email from the company. I’m in Iowa where LD website accepts my entering info. for their contests and money saving reward but I’m being shown in Minnesota. I need this fixed but I can’t stay on hold forever with CS and they don’t seem to be of much help. Also, my billing went up $5 this month. Can someone please tell me in simple terms what I need to do. I’m older and technology has me stumped.. Thanks in advance Msg. from LG company The message you are receiving appears when the LD website is accessed from a state that prohibits discounts and promotions. Digital rebates, rewards, and mobile coupons are void in NJ, NY, MA, MN and where restricted or prohibited by law, and the Savings and Rewards sections will not appear as an option when accessing the LD website from within those states. While you may not presently be in one of those states, when you receive that particular error message it is because the IP address you are connecting to the LD website from is either being flagged as based in one of the restricted states or the location is unable to be verified. Because our encryption is legally required to be handled by an independent third party, we are unable to override it when it flags an IP as being restricted. In past instances where you have been able to access the website without issue you were likely connecting from a different IP address, which suggests you may be in a different location or using a device that is connecting via a different means (wi-fi vs. a wired connection, or a wireless carrier vs. traditional ISP). Should you continue to receive the "State Regulations" error, I would suggest either connecting or disconnecting to wi-fi (the opposite of however you were connected when receiving the error), or potentially attempting to connect from a different device. If you are using a VPN, please make sure you are disconnected from it while accessing the LD website. Because this is an issue caused by your local connection to the internet, unfortunately it is not an issue that we can resolve for you on our end as the host. You will need to modify your internet connection via one of the methods described above to be able to access the restricted pages of the LD website.Solved404Views1like4CommentsBad coverage near my house and surrounding blocks
I have bad coverage/reception when I’m at home, and for several blocks near my house. I’ve spoken with several Tmobile reps, and they are unaware of any issue. They’ll usually take me through the reset network connection option, which doesn’t work. I have several friends that have Tmobile that have the same issue when at or near my house- using both 5g and 4g phones, apple, android, etc, Also having wifi on and off (wifi only calls are great- I have to turn cellular off to do it, and then turn wifi back on, so have to hang up the call and return it if talking to someone on a cellular call. The Tmobile coverage map shows that it’s supposed to have ultra 5g coverage in my area. The decline in connection in this area (several blocks of Sugarhouse/Salt Lake City, UT) seems like it’s been going on for at least 2 years. I haven’t been able to get anyone at Tmobile to recognize that it’s been an ongoing issue, so wondering if others might have it? Also wondering if it might have anything to do with shutting down Sprint Towers in this area, and/or perhaps construction in the area that is now blocking any towers to my area. Once I”m a couple blocks from home the cell reception is fine. Thanks for any help- or if you know anyone I can reach out to, as the troubleshooting option hasn’t worked- and hoping to find someone at Tmobile who might know about Towers/dead spots in this area. Thanks!423Views0likes2Comments
