connection problems
15 TopicsHome Internet - Frequent Disconnects - Possible Fix
I might have found the problem that was causing frequent disconnects (happened multiple times a day) for the last couple of weeks. The disconnect would require a reboot to get the internet working again. I’m hoping that others having this issue would be willing to give this a try and see if it helps with their issue as well. A Fan! I believe that my issue is that my gateway is overheating. After placing a fan blowing directly on it this morning, I haven’t had a single issue with connectivity all day. If you’re having this same problem, please trying cooling off your gateway and report back whether your issues have gone away or stayed the same. I hope this finds everyone with this problem and will lead to a proper fix.30KViews3likes28CommentsInternet available, but when connect it's not secured.
My laptop always connected to the T-mobile internet and then one day about a month ago it stopped. It says it’s available but when I connect it says no internet, secured. The only way I can use my laptop at home now is by personal hotspot. I tried setting up another workaround as mentioned in another feed, but that didn’t work either, same results. I have been on the phone with tmobile. And have taken my laptop into work and the reset it to factory default settings and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas? thanks for any help!221Views0likes4Comments5G home internet - interruption of connection -support was contacted
We started our 5g home internet with T-Mobile about 6 months ago, it was working fantastic for about 4 of those months. Last month near the very beginning we started having an issue where all of our devices are connected to the modem, but no internet connection is available, the only fix we have is to unplug and restart the modem. We called support yesterday, they told us about the new 2022 modems and that many customers have been calling in with this issue. After getting our new modem yesterday we still have the same issue every 30 mins a break in our internet connection begins and we need to re-start our modem. I called support again this morning to which they again said many customers are having this same issue. When I heared that a bell went off, "T-Mobile has a massive server or processing error with all of these modems, not just the old one we were dealing with." They proceeded with the basic turning the router off and powering it back on, the support told me he was doing some sort of trouble shooting (to which he was supposed to send a list of troubleshoots to use if it were to continue, he never did) I got a call about 20 mins after to make sure my internet was still working, I told them yes and that it hadn't even been long enough for us to have the issue again, they were happy with that and gladly wished me a good rest of my day. I am so beyond frustrated with T-Mobile right now, they honestly should be giving customers a refund of last months billing cycle and get this sorted for all the hoops we have to go through in order to even have a half hour of this so called premier coverage of 5g home internet, it's really feeling like a bad joke and customers are just supposed to deal with it.406Views2likes3Comments5G Internet recently became unstable, any thoughts?
This is my 6th month on t-mobile5G Internet. It used to be good for the first 4 or 5 months, but recently the service became unstable, connection on and off, download/upload speed sometimes are very slow, upload speed is sometimes < 1mpbs. Restart the modem sometimes helps. The modem stays where it was when service is good. When I encountered the issue, the signal on the model is “good” . Any thoughts?1.3KViews0likes5CommentsDigital Touch Tone vs. Touch Tone
Technology can improve our daily lives and can also complicate them. Going forward at times, can result in going backwards. "If it isn't broke, leave it alone". Touch tone Old technology has a preprogrammed "tone" established, allowing a connection to be heard and passed through with correct information. Newer technology uses thousands of tones associated with 0-9 computer screen connections. " if you would like to receive this call pres 1", by pressing 1, this tone must connect with the exact receiving tone as the outgoing tone. If the tones do not exactly match, you mayfind yourself pressing "Beethoven" vs "Motzart". Your call will not connect if your note does not match the receiving note. How do companies address this issue? After several agents pass the buck, hang up on you and you finally manage an agent without preprogrammed bot mentality, you will discover a claim to their technicians will be processed for further review. Usually a 3 day or week process. Akind agent will brief you upon this expected length, though technically this is a breech in policy, some agents are actually still bread with human decency. A history of incomming lines will be viewed for their tone matching capabilities to rule out whose playing b flat. Once identified a tune up follows. However as with all instruments, those musicians know nothing ever stays perfectly in tune. Going forward can at times mean, your really better off sometimes with one octave than with multiple octaves, as there are less variables of your touch tone being unable to play the exact reciprocating frequencies needed to simply....connect calls. Life is a balance of machine and mankind. Machines are only as good as they are programmed. A good company will never put policy over their paying customers. A company is only as good as its character, not of its policies. Policies are fluid rules needing to bend with the tide of current needs. A company unwilling to address their outdated or unacceptable policies, will find their "product" will never support their character. But quality of Character will always support a product.136Views0likes1Comment5G home internet connectioni goes down daily

In the Matthews North Carolina area, my Gateway is only showing good status as opposed to very good or excellent. This is the first time that has ever happened without the Gateway being moved. Both my Gateway and my cell service are showing download speeds under 20Mbps and upload speeds under 10Mbps.88Views0likes1CommentT Mobile Home Internet - "NO Signal", frequent disconnect all through the day on 09-Sep and 10-Sep. I started having issues a couple of days ago and when I called they stated that the towers in my area are being upgraded. I asked how long this would take as I had no service for several days. They stated 3 to 4 weeks! How is this acceptable in this day and age for technology upgrades to takes weeks and deny service to customers? I should have said this is a safety issue as I could not reliable make calls and if I had an emergency how could I expect to get help. This is a sad state of affairs T-Mobile.3KViews4likes9Comments
