autopay

Here’s my question and i think I’ll call my local congressman and or congresswoman. T-Mobile has removed the auto-pay discount feature if you choose to pay with a credit card in lieu of a debit card. Their reasoning is the charge that CC companies charge a fee. That fee is like 3.5% maybe and that may be on the high side and that is the full percentage cost for a one-time charge. So my bill is about $120 with the 3.5% fee would be $4.20. With T-Mobile’s plan they are NOW CHARGING ME an extra $20 a month because i choose not to link my bank account to pay my bill. How is this even FAIR? THIS IS EXTORTION! I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO CALL YOUR LOCAL LEGISLATURES AND INFORM THEM OF THIS HIWAY ROBBERY THAT IS GOING ON WITH T-MOBILE.7KViews0likes7CommentsWhy are we being penalized suddenly for paying with a credit card?
I have been with T-Mobile and have used my credit card with autopay for 5 years. Now all of the sudden I am being charged a $5 fee every month even though I’m enrolled in autopay just because I prefer to use a credit card!? This is ridiculous. I don’t use my debit card for anything and I’m not going to just because T-Mobile wants me to for whatever stupid reason. Honestly, this pisses me off so much that this the first time in years that I’m seriously considering switching to another carrier.4.1KViews4likes14CommentsAutopay failures
Am I the only one who keeps getting scammed by T-Mobile and their failure to process my AutoPay and then trying to charge me late fees? I had autopay set up and it worked fine for a couple of months. Then all of a sudden I received a notice of missed payment. Called to find out how an autopay could be missed since T-Mobile had been pulling the money regularly without issue. Billing person claimed that the bank account that I was using had been closed. This was with a bank that I have been with for over 30 years and still have multiple accounts open with them. The bank investigated, due to my long term relationship with them, and found T-Mobile had never sent the request for payment that month and they had records of the previous requests. Referred this back to T-Mobile and they would re-investigate and they never followed up. Went to a store to discuss, since I couldn’t trust the phone personnel after this, and they claim someone turned off my autopay. Does anyone know if Verizon has better customer service or more honest, competent personnel?2.1KViews1like8CommentsI have signed up for AutoPay using bank account. Will I still get autopay discount of $5 per line, if I make one-time payment of part of my bill using a credit card, when bill comes

By forcing autopay users to pay with a bank account or debit card we are going to lose the phone insurance provided by our credit cards. In my case I get a $40/month autopay discount. So I have to choose between an extra $480/year or the phone insurance on my credit card. I understand that credit card processing is more expensive than bank or debit, and I’d be happy to pay an extra 3% of my balance to pay by credit card (and thereby keep my credit card insurance benefits), but $40/month is extortionary. Can T-Mobile please reconsider this policy, and perhaps keep the autopay by credit card option for a small surcharge instead of the $40/month that I’d have to pay? Thanks1.3KViews15likes10CommentsUnknown backend error message!
I am having the Unknown backend error message when trying to make a payment from may 1, 2024. I have use auto-payment for years. The system did not take the payment. I cannot make the payment online. T mobile customer support cannot take the payment over the phone. The IVR system cannot take the payment. Their customer service send me to the local store. The local store called their support cause they couldn’t help. The store support couldn’t help the store manage, to help me because the store employees and manager couldn’t be verified by “their support”. This is a mess! They treat prepaid like second class citizens. Their post paid service is not better either. I was about to change from pre-paid to post paid and realized they are even worse! I was promised a call back, and t mobile broke their promise by no calling back. Very disappointing! After 20 years being with TMobile.. is time to say goodbye and move with a better company.499Views1like6CommentsSetting up "Bank Account" as an Auto payment menthod
Hi There, I am not sure if anybody has/had encountered this issue before and I would appreciate any advice/recommendation regarding this issue tat i am haivng. As you may be aware, in order to qualify for auto pay discount (based on plan, you may qualify for auto pay discount $5 per line), you would need to use either DEBIT card or Bank Payment as your default payment method for Auto pay. Now i had enrolled for auto payment with my back payment method but for some reason, transcation was declined due bank was not able to clear the payment for some reason (Not that i did not have money in the account but for some technical reason it got rejected from the bank side when T-Mobile tried to process the due amount by using the bank). Due to that, I can’t now use that method (It’s greyed out and it says, you are not allowed to use this method anymore). So, I tried calling customer care multiple times and explained this and mentioned that I would like to use different bank for to make payments (Auto enroll) so that i can get Auto pay discount per line. I have 8 lines in my account and you are looking at $40 per month saving. But, customer representative were not a tall helpful. I was being told that system put a block on that method and I then mentioned , can you help me to remove that block or escalate it technical department or relavent department that i can speak with so that i can use bank payment method. I dont have debit card but representative was “ you would need to use Debit card and if you dont then use someone else debit card, may be ask around friends, and other family members” . 😧. I am not sure, who to reach out for this issue. Any help, i would appreciate that!399Views0likes0Comments
