Things I would like in a phone: 1TB storage (lots of videos) Headphone jack FM radio Good DIY repairability. What the Nokia G310 5G has: SD card slot with support up to 1TB (plus 128GB onboard storage) Headphone jack FM radio (I hope that’s the USA too. It appears it could be!) Is marketed by Nokia as easy to repair. iFix it says that battery, display and charge port replacement are all in the “moderate” difficulty level. It does only have USB 2.0 and 20W charging over USB type C. But those are the same specs as the iPhone 15. I’m not looking for a gaming phone. About the only, possibly processor intensive thing I would want to do is run an SDR on it. I would be trading in my Google Pixel 4a, that I don’t really like because of the limited storage and lack of FM radio.605Views0likes8CommentsUsing wired headphones with Samsung phones with a 3.5mm jack
I tried using my Samsung Galaxy A14 5G phone with wired headphones with a 3.5mm jack. If relevant, headphones do not have a microphone. However, the headphones are leaking the sound (even when I set volume on minimum). When I plug the headphones in and when I do not wear them, I can still clearly hear the sound. Headphones work well with all other devices, including my previous Samsung Galaxy phone. Restarting the phone does not resolve the issue. Dialing *#0283# (for a loopback test) does not return any menu and does not work. Even when I decrease the sound to zero, I can still hear [loud]sound coming out of headphones. It seems the sound comes from headphones, not from the phone. Changing volume does decrease and increase the sound. …Does anyone have one of newerSamsung phones with a 3.5mm jack (e.g., A14 5G), and do wired headphones work properly with it? Did anyone manage to resolve this issue, and how?216Views0likes0CommentsDoes the Google Pixel 6a have a 3.5mm headphone jack?
When I look at outside information it says the Google Pixel 6a doesn’t have a headphone jack: Digital Trends article: Does the Google Pixel 6a Have a Headphone Jack? Of all the new upgrades Google mentioned for the Pixel 6a atGoogle I/O 2022— including the Tensor processor, longer battery life, sleeker design, and robust camera features — it left out the headphone jack. But when I look at the specs on the T-Mobile website it says it does: New Google Pixel 6a: View Prices, Specs & Colors | T-Mobile Battery Description 4306 mAH Ports 3.5mm, USB Type-C Connectivity Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and 6E (6GHz) with MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC Which is true?
